Smoky Martins BBQ — Restaurant in Meadville

I am a firm believer of buying local, and and supporting local business! We tried Smoky Martins for the first time tonight,and were not to impressed! When we walked in ,and were seated we noticed it seemed like everyone was disorganized , and there was a young man walking around with a plastic bag with ice on his eye laying it down on everything when he needed both hands!! My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich , which was lacking bbq sauce and i ordered a full rack of ribs! The ribs were flavorfull , but it seemed like they did not remove the membrane on the bottom of the rib! the were tender but not fall off the bone like i thought they might be! I do understand everything is high price now but , you think for 25 bucks you would get 1 side dish! Then i only got 1 napkin had to ask for more and no wipes!!! Need some guidence! This is without a doubt the best BBQ I have had on the East coast and compares to Kansas City BBQ like Ollie Gates which is the best IMO. Seriously, the brisket is perfect. The pulled pork is perfect. They have a Brisket Gravy that is absolutely fantastic. Their Mac & Cheese is some of my favorite. I appreciate that they don't have a cluttered menu with items on there just to have them. Every thing on the menu they have on there because they have mastered it. The pricing of everything is more than fair and is even on the cheap side for the quality. I'm new to the area for work and I haven't bothered to try eating anywhere else in Meadville that's how good it is. I am yet to try the stone oven Pizza but I've heard nothing but great things about it.

The staff has been extremely nice and very helpful with any questions about anything on the menu.

Finally got to try Smoky Martin's after several attempts. Their Brisket Philly was amazing! The 3 star review, however, is because of the parking situation, which is confusing to say the least, and is why we had not stopped before. Small parking lot, not well layed out but probably the best they could do with what they have.There was a big truck there, and the person taking our order seemed more preoccupied with that than giving us the customer service we deserved...yet there was no sign addressing where larger vehicles SHOULD park! Might be a good idea to post one, and not make customers feel unwelcome because they didn't park right! That might make the premium prices for your awesome food worth spending...
