I've been a customer on multiple occasions at the Mebane NC Alpaca restaurant the food is good each and every time. However this time I ordered for a small team gathering at work and decided to make an online order. I ordered 2 whole chicken meals and an extra whole chicken. The meals allow you to choose from their yellow sauce or their AMAZING GREEN sauce. The sause was chosen and an additional a'lcarte 32oz green sauce was purchased for an additional fee. Upon arrival my food was thrown together in the bag it was only the food. The server baggaed my food and said we are out of Green sauce but you can get it yourself from the stationary area. WOW!!! Being that it was my lunch break and almost alpacas closing time, I let it slide due to me not wanting to argue and I didn't want to let my team down for lunch. It's already bad that we have to find decent meals working the late shift. I reached out on the website for them to contact me... No response. I called by Saturday asking to speak to the manager. The GM called me back with his personal number and asked me to send my receipt. I did. It's been almost a week. I have not heard anything. As a people we are not in a space where we can waste or give money away. If you can congratulations not me. I need my money back for an $ 11.79 item I paid for and did NOT get I'm not asking for food or a hand out just what I paid for. But I feel like with no response and me not getting my money back Alpaca in Mebane stole from me. And I'm standing on it until yall make it right. If I placed an order at 1:01pm to pick up at 8:45pm I should have had sauce before you ran out. Not good business. And let's not forget the team members where tipped... So Alpaca...
Read moreI placed my go to order for one arroz chaufa with yuca fries as my side, and after waiting 15-20 minutes, I went up to the counter to ask about my order. There were over 10 people in the kitchen, and seemed there was a lack of communication and it looked a bit unprofessional. They said my order was just waiting on the yuca fries, but then I told the cashier that there were yuca fries right there… I pointed and she said no that was regular fries. I said no, these, and we walked over to the station and there was a whole pack of them ready to serve. And when I placed my order, there were yuca fries ready as well. As another person was putting the fries into my container, she only put 5 in there. There was space left in that side of the container, and I have always gotten more at all the other locations I go to. And I have been to at least 5 different ones across the triangle, multiple times each. This was my first time at the Mebane location. Lastly, they had prepared other peoples meal before mine, and had about 5-6 ready for to go orders. They were really attentive on the to go orders, but seemed to forget about mine, which was just sitting up on the counter waiting for the yuca fries that were actually ready all along.
Overall, really slow wait because they were chatting and getting distracted by non work related conversations. There were too many “cooks in the kitchen.” I think I would go to this location again because I love this dish, but if something like this happens again, I don’t think I want to...
Read moreWe were in Mebane shopping and decided to find a place to eat. My daughter researched and found Alpaca Peruvian Chacoal Chicken. We looked at the menu and decided to eat here and it was 8 minutes from where we were. This was our first time here.
We walked in and loved how the atmosphere was airy, bright, happy and colorful. We looked over the menu and placed our order. Shout out to Jimena, Sarah and Katherine who were, welcoming, friendly and helpful! They did an awesome job helping us order and where everything (silverware, sauces, napkins) were.
We ordered a 1/2 chicken white and our two sides of rice and coleslaw! The chicken, which was a large breast, was very tender and juicy. They were juicy and tender. Loved the chicken skin as well. We also got two sauces (yellow and green, for the chicken. The sauces were fresh and flavorful! The rice was a very nice portion. The coleslaw was delicious with the right amount of sweetness and crunchiness! Shout out to the prep and chefs for doing a great job with preparing and cooking the food.
The restaurant dining area and the bathroom were very clean! Finding a parking spot could be tricky depending on the day and time!
I would like to know what the $2.99 charge was for.
Please open an Alpaca Peruvian Chacoal Chicken restaurant in Winston-Salem. My daughter and I agree that you are way better than...
