I'm really disappointed with the new people working there. I called in today to order food for pick-up while sitting in front of the restaurant and they placed me on hold for ten minutes. Eventually hanging up, I walk into an empty restaurant and wait at the register. A girl comes out to take my order laughing followed by a young man. This instantly upset me because they didn't even bother to check the phone to see if I was still holding. After clarifying a menu item for me with a lot of attitude I placed my order. Once home, I opened my hot sandwich to find they added cheese despite me clarifying what I wanted on it. I called them and her response was that it was a miscommunication. Umm... no, I was very clear on what I requested and cheese was not on that list so obviously you were too busy enjoying yourself with the young man to pay attention. I ended up returning to get a refund and guess what... that attitude was still there. I miss the friendly service that used to be the old Martinhos. It didn't matter how busy they were, service was always, friendly, professional and my orders were always correct. My suggestion, give these young folks a class on customer service. Did I mention the sandwich was really bare looking as though they skipped on the beef? I'll drive the extra distance...
Read moreI went to Martinho's at 3:10 PM January 2. I was greeted promptly by a friendly hostes. I was told to sit anywhere and that someone would take my order soon. The place was not busy. There were 4 booths and one table with a few people at each, who already had been served. I had expected more diners on this opening day under new management. I had intended to dine in and order an appetizer, sandwich, drink and considered ordering a dessert. After sitting at a table, I got up and ordered a sandwich and drink at the register. My receipt shows that I placed my order at 3:25. While I sat waiting, I could see the hostes and two young women hanging out at the register and talking. The hostess offered the excuse that she and the other staff were not quite familiar with the technology of the register. I think that at least asking what I wanted to drink and then bringing that to me would have been too distracting to the staff. I ordered a Reuben and Iced Tea to go. I tipped 15 %, even though I was tempted to not tip at all. The Reuben contained a lot of meat, but the meat was dry. There was a small amount of dressing and sauerkraut on the sandwich. The rye bread was cooked well, but it lacked flavor. I hope service improves as...
Read moreI recently visited this place, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who made me feel right at home. The service was impeccable—attentive without intrusive, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, making the atmosphere even more welcoming. The pretty blond girl told us her boyfriend and brother also worked here, and she was just a sweetheart and very attentive.
The food was outstanding. The pizza was perfectly cooked, with a crispy crust, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Each bite was bursting with flavor. I also tried one of their salads and was equally impressed by the freshness and the balance of flavors.
The ambiance of this place is cozy and inviting. It has comfortable seating and charming decor, making you want to linger a little longer. It's where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, and feel like you're part of the community.
Overall, Martinho offers a meal and a local vibes experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. I'll...
