Nice atmosphere, beautiful building but it’s hard to give more than one star to a bar that won’t serve you a drink. After a nice dinner at Umi Sushi, I brought a friend to the Boomtown Saloon because she is looking for celebration venues for her September wedding. We ordered drinks and I accidentally set my glass on a slope ledge of the bar which caused it to drop on the ground. I was extremely embarrassed and apologized and helped to pick up the glass. Compounding my embarrassment, the bartender refused me when I ordered another drink and, worse, refused my friends. We were treated like drunk people, even though it was 8:30 pm and just walked in from dinner. I understand the need to monitor for drunk people in a bar and OLCC policies, but this felt overboard—we were simply customers sitting quietly enjoying the music and accidently broke a glass. The bartenders are friendly and drinks aren't expensive by any means, so there's really no drawback. if your just looking to have a drink in a nice small town Saloon this is it. most Saturdays the Boomtown host a live band mostly classic rock or country and although the band isn't always my cup of tea it's always Quality Music.
