Goldilox Bagels — Restaurant in Medford

In the eternal argument over whose bagel is the best, I have often held that there are no "better" or "worse" bagels, simply different ones. I still think that, but I also think that these are about as close to "best" as I think you'll find.

The first time you see a Goldilox everything bagel is an eye popping experience. You'll probably go "how did they get all the toppings to stick like that?" The bagel is completely encrusted in poppy, sesame, garlic, and salt, like a royal crown in diamonds. And not to worry, the taste is just as delightful as the looks.

The bagels themselves are sublime. "Goldilox" is not just a pun, these bagels are really just right. Not too crusty. Not jaw-exhaustingly chewy. Bigger than Katz's, but smaller than bagel world's so they still fit in your toaster.

Anyhow, there is a bagel here for every preference. Rosemary salt is perfect for breakfast sandwiches, garlic salt for bagel pizzas, and the cinnamon raisin is just sublime toasted with cream cheese. Oh and the cream cheese - you have to try the toasted topping variety, blended with the everything topping that didn't stick to the bagel. Oh also there's bear butter - butter with cayenne pepper. It's so good.

Goldilox is a staple for us here in Medford and never disappoints. Our household go-to is Sausage Egg and American on Everything. It’s legendary. The synergy Goldilox masters with all of the ingredients makes this sandwich so divine. The bagel tastes so fresh and the sandwich is always piping hot.

I love the ease of ordering on Toast. When you order ahead, you can cut the line to pick up your order at the counter. Their staff is always so lovely, which is a tough act considering the literal hundreds of orders they manage in a given hour.

I made a mistake with my order recently and was able to send a text to the number posted on their site in order to request an earlier pickup time, and they obliged no problem. You don’t get customer service like that anywhere these days.

I went in there and asked for bialy and Nova they had no clue what I was talking about then I ordered my bagel with the side of cream cheese.

The bagel was toasted for some reason on both orders The Nova or locks they didn't know it Nova was either was cut horribly and placed in a sloppy messy sandwich with melted cream cheese I did not ask for that this is their normal practice I guess.

If you want the plain bagel with plain old cream cheese I guess maybe you could go here if you want good bagels with a variety of different items you need to go someplace else.

I personally will never go back there I've eaten bagels from all over the area and out of state and these are the worst I've ever had.
