Hometowne Pizza — Restaurant in Medina

My review might change if we ever go back but let me just say that the owner is wonderful. She is very attentive. She was also talkative with us and told us a little more about their ingredients and where she gets them from. I was very excited because the crust had cornmeal in it. When placing our order, we decided to go with thin crust because I asked the young man behind the counter if the meat pizza would hold up to the thin crust. He said it most definitely would. Well, it didn't hold up. The pizza immediately became greasy. I was very disappointed. The crust had great flavor, the pizza needed double the amount of cheese, and maybe if we had ordered a thicker crust, it would have been perfect. Trial and error. The owner also ordered us free breadsticks and cinnamon sticks because it was our first time visiting this restaurant. The frosting for the cinnamon sticks was in a plastic squeezable package and tasted very processed and horrible. The breadsticks were very salty and I didnt like them. Highly DO NOT recommend getting delivery. Called in at 6:30 guy was super nice told us it will be delivered in 45 to an hour or even a little earlier. Waited a little after an hour to see what the hold up was, to find out they didn’t take down my number and didn’t know how to contact me (which everyone had caller ID it’s 2023) so they refunded my card. When I called back to find this out, the guy asked if I still wanted the pizza ive been waiting for for over an hour? Once I said yes I would definitely still like the pizza I ordered and paid for he wanted my credit card info to STILL pay for the pizza even though this mistake was on them. Love love love this pizza! Especially the cauliflower crust! Literally tastes the same as regular dough, if not better. The quality of the toppings and the quality of the way they're making pizzas is well worth the 20 minutes it takes me to drive there. You may not be getting a 5 dollar pizza here but you're getting quality ingredients and hand made pizza. Best pizza, piadas and cheese bread around.
