Brought my car in for an oil change. Got gas immediately afterwards and car wouldn’t start (luckily got it to start on the second try) An hour later the check engine light came on.
Ended up bringing the car to the closest valvoline location (Bloomington, MN) for a second oppinion. The technician (Ryan) was helpful and pointed out the problem right away. He explained to me they found a broken connection near the air filter box. Coincidentally the engine codes they pulled up from the check engine light were related to air intake. They further explained how this most likely happend when they took out my air filter during the initial oil change (which I did notice the crew struggeling with). The manager (Dan) suggested we bring the car back to the original location (Medina, MN.) and have them repair it.
When I brought it back to the Medina location the manager (Ellie) told me nothing was wrong. I showed them the broken connection which they proceeded to insist it was not broken. At this point I have conflicting stories between the two valvoline locations which is frustrating to say the least. I asked Ellie if I could have the district managers name so I can fill him in on the issue I’m having between the locations. She rudely told me she will not give me his name because she didn’t want him dealing with stuff that has been resolved in the shop (which it was not). Her co worker than said they can’t give me the managers name because it’s company policy? I find that strange.
Needless to say I have reached out to corporate over the matter and if nothing else comes of it I hope they at least give some tips on customer service to the poor management at...
Read moreUpon arrival two techs starred at my girlfriend while I waited right at the door. Once I got in the service got worse. The staff that was working on my vehicle was slow and uneducated on the process. I loved this location and its staff in the past. Today the tech didn't listen to the manager and used a wrong tool and was in the engine way longer then any other time I was there. He dropped a water hose splashing the guy underneath of the car. After 20 minutes or so of waiting the manager got involved to scold the member about his process. Then the whole team had to get involved to find the gas cap he had lost. I wanted to look for it myself. During this the tech that was looking at my girlfriend before I entered kept starring at my girlfriend. We felt very uncomfortable and trapped due to the staffs incompetence. I will consider other locations or even a jiffy lube next time to avoid the treatment I...
Read moreBrought my daughters Kia Stinger in for an oil change end of July about. They didn’t secure the undercarriage cover on properly. A week or so later going 55 mph on hwy 55, I was left stranded as it started to come off. They came to where I was and removed it. I then drove back there to have it secured better. However then a couple months later up north it came loose again It was so damaged from the first time, when they secured it the second time, it just started coming apart in pieces. Had to drive it to the closest place up north to have it removed. Filing a claim with valvoline. They said they will order a new one for the car. Followed up a month later, they didn’t have it yet. The car that sits low to the ground has had no undercarriage cover since October. I do not feel I should have to be the one to follow up on this claim. They should be updating us on this. ...
