This was a fun concept restaurant. Can't decide on pub food or sushi? Here ya go. This was delicious. I got the burger and sushi combo. I upgraded to the Mac N Cheese burger and a shrimp tempura roll. My wife had the same combos but opted for the fig jam burger and Philly roll - also delicious. Both also came with twisty fries. The menu all looked good. The wait staff kept my drink full and we didn't have to wait long on food or service. Price point was a bit high but maybe I'm too old at 40 for these inflation prices. I'll have to come back for sushi specials on Wednesdays to try the more fancy rolls. Although they looked phenomenal, I couldn't justify paying up to $18 for the specialty rolls. So I opted for the combos and tried it all. The atmosphere had cute decor. The country music mixed with sports playing on TVs at the bar, mixed with an industrial metal and concrete vibe kinda made the theme hard to place. Hence the Twiisted name I guess. But it didn't affect the meal or food. Again maybe I'm too old now. However the artistic fish pieces were cool and cute. We'll definitely try this again when we're in the Medina area. The only other comment I have (and again, I guess I'm old) but all the wait staff were attentive and did their jobs wonderfully...but none of them had customer service skills or personality. The hostess asked if there were 2 of us, then proceeded to look for open tables and stared at us awkwardly until we caught her eye to follow her. No "right this way." I also saw her cleaning a table and use the same rag to wipe something off of her bare leg and then used it again on the table... Our server was nice and did everything a server should do. But there was no interaction other than serving us, taking our orders, refilling glasses and bringing the bill. The table of young girls he was attending had a different experience. I'm not knocking any points off here. I say go check this place out soon. But don't expect to be wowed by the staff or ambiance. It's...
Read morePretty disappointed. After all the hype about the food especially during the pandemic I seen we were excited to try. We went about 2 weeks ago and the food was just okay, server seemed like she didn't really want to be there but it was close to closing time so I get it. We decided to try again because we didn't get the burgers and people rave about them, so we decided to try again. 30 minute wait no problem we get in and sit order drinks, one from the bar, and the server tells us it's going to be 30+ mins for anything on the grill bc they were slammed with togo items. Again fine (though I think they should prioritize in house guests and give togo a longer wait time) so we order apps (my husband loves the duck wings) and I got the pretzels that were horrible. The cheese is gross and the pretzels were almost cold, but whatever it's just pretzels. We were sat where we could see the bar and the drink my husband ordered sat at the bar while our server walked past it multiple times, chatted with the bartender a little, and everything. We had to ask the kid who ran our apps to check on the drink (15 mins after we ordered it) and he grabbed the one that had been sitting there for the 15 mins. The drink was watered down but we all forget stuff sometimes so we still wernt that mad. Then our food finally came and the burgers were seriously burnt wayyy over cooked. We ordered medium well and they came out way over well done. I get they were busy back there but after waiting over an hour for some burgers that are supposed to be amazing was annoying, and the fries were so greasy. The server never smiled, he made excuses for everything, wasn't really attentive. I didn't complain at the resturant because I'm a server I get it but after 2 times I no longer chalk it up to a bad day. We won't be adding this to our rotation like we hoped, it's way to expensive to have 2 bad...
Read moreI'm writing this review based on the service. Our family and friends have been huuuuuge fans n lovers of twisted. I actually met the owner one year, very nice down to earth guy whom does great things for the community . I was also a huge supporter and customer during the pandemic . Food is amazing never had an issue till yesterday evening . The bartender Brittany treated us terrible. Being a single mom I don't go out much. I had worked all day was kid free ( a bit tired ) and decided to go to twisted we sat at the bar my friend and I. We ordered each a shot and a cocktail . My friend ordered another shot ... she was told she could have the shot then she was cut off until she ordered food ???!!! OK we had been there roughly 30 mins by this time . ( we planned on appetizers n dinner i wasn't aware there was a time frame on when u have to eat n order) We were NOT obligerant or obscene. Just two friends enjoying an evening out . We ordered an appetizer which came quick. I had spilled my drink and requested another one she kept repeating on the check right ?? Of course on my check ?! Waited and watched her serve everyone around us . 15 mins passed asked for my drink again and she just kept serving everyone else . So we asked for the check ..which came so fast as if she didn't want us there . I have no idea what we did to deserve this horrible service . We were gonna order dinners and stay . Her rude odd behavior made us feel unwelcome so we took our money to Johnny Js and had excellent service . Still love twisted however not the service . I would like to add I have 15 years experience serving . I would never treat any one in that way. Now if we were obligerant or intoxicated i could understand her demeanor . But this was...
