Hidden Springs Java is a small coffee shop located in the heart of Medora, North Dakota. The shop is known for its delicious coffee, friendly staff, and relaxing atmosphere.
I visited Hidden Springs Java on a recent trip to Medora, and I was immediately impressed. The shop is small and cozy, but it is packed with personality. The walls are decorated with artwork from local artists, and the coffee bar is stocked with a variety of coffee beans from around the world.
I ordered a cup of the house coffee, which was a medium roast. The coffee was smooth and flavorful, and it was the perfect way to start my day. I also tried a slice of the chocolate chip muffin, which was moist and delicious.

Read moreWe were not impressed by this coffee shop. I asked the manager if I could pay for a large cup of coffee but instead of in a to-go cup to please put it in my thermos as I was going to hike Theodore Rosevelt and wanted my coffee to stay hot. I also asked for a normal amount of creamer on the side (in a separate small cup). She proceeds to say âwell I canât just give you a cup of creamerâ, and I explained I donât need a full cup of creamer. I literally just want a normal amount of creamer (like about an inch in depth)âŠbut in a separate cup so when I pour my coffee out of my thermos into my mug I can add just a little creamer. I kid you not, she gave me a tiny ketchup sized cup of creamer on the side. I was baffled. Are we doing shots with creamer now? I shouldâve just asked for a large coffee with an inch of cream and moved on, because at least I wouldâve gotten a normal amount of creamer like I asked for. It is what it is, I have spent my money there and...
Read moreLook for the old MERCANTILE marked building to find this adorable coffee shop - a friendly spot to grab a very good coffee drink and a snack to go with it. Sit out on the relaxing covered porch and enjoy the view, even on a rainy day. That's just what we did, and felt very much at home. They offer a full coffeehouse list of choices (coffee, espresso drinks, Italian sodas, tea drinks - plus some juices and can sodas) and an assortment of fika snacks (shortbread cookies, muffins, scones). They also had a daily special of a chicken salad wrap - which we grabbed two of before we headed out to do the loop and some hiking in the national park. The wrap was filling and hit the spot. The owner is very good folk. They sell miscellaneous gifts, too. Whenever we are back in Medora, I am certain we'll...
