I really want to like BWW (I love wings) but 2/3 experiences have been bad. Three of us went on Friday for dinner. Mom ordered sweet bbq and liked them. I tried her sauce and didn't like it myself. Husband and I both ordered Hot BBQ which is described as a robust bbq with a hint of spice or something like that. Reviews online reveal this is a smoky flavor with a bit of hot, and the images show its a reddish color usually. We both got our food and it was temperature hot (yay prev experience was took nearly an hour and chicken was cold). At this point, I got a little skeptical. Our wings were orange. Tasted exactly like pure buffalo sauce from literally any restaurant that serves buffalo chicken (chick fil A spicy sandwich, red robins buffalo fingers, etc. I've had a lot of these on accident thinking spicy means chipotle or peppery). Checked online later, seems like they have a "hot" flavored wing which is standard hot sauce (I.e. buffalo tasting sauce) and orange colored.
We asked the waitress if they use buffalo sauce in the hot bbq. She ran off to get a manager with an allergen list. He came over and said they were the right color so we got the right order (hot is orange and hot bbq is slightly off orange according to him). They use a special sauce and wouldn't tell us what was in it. Also said he doesn't eat spicy so he wouldn't know what it taste like. I gave them 4 stars because he did offer to make us something else.
We HATE buffalo sauce but we don't like wasting food so we told him it was fine but we'd like a bit more ranch. We both ate about 5-6 buffalo wings before deciding to give them to Mom who would wash off the sauce/breading and feed the chicken to her animals. Counted the leftover wings and realized they gave us each a size larger than what we ordered.
When we got the bill they had charged us correctly, though it seemed the manager hung around watching us after the sauce discussion. We tipped well because it wasn't the waitress' fault and were not jerks.
My one complaint with the service is that they would not own up to their mistake despite it being pretty obvious to anyone who eats spicy food that hot sauce and hot bbq sauce are not the same, should not be the same color, and should taste entirely different. There was not even a hint of bbq in the sauce we got...
Read moreI ordered a pick up from this location. I have only been here one other time (a couple years ago), and I dined in- service and food were great. This location must be understaffed right now. I came in and sat down because I saw people trying to get seated. There were SO many employees that walked by these people wanting to be seated and they weren’t spoken to, greeted, or even glanced at. Eventually the family was seated. I go to the counter and tell them I placed an order online & asked when it would be done because online it said it would be 40 minutes.. But when I saw the parking lot, I didn’t think the 5 cars would make it a 40 minute wait for 20 wings & a kids meal. The nice young man at the front who I believe is James, told me it would probably be 10 minutes. It was the whole 40 minutes, but I am sure they are just understaffed & also had a shift change so poor James had been by himself to seat the door as well as deal with pick up orders. James was kind the entire time & I just felt bad his coworker was 30+ min late to leave him by himself. They definitely need someone to be the primary Host, as a couple waited 10+ minutes at the Host stand before leaving because they were never even greeted. When my food was ready 40 minutes later, I checked it to make sure everything was there. The wings looked amazing. But when I asked about the kid’s side of mandarin oranges, I was given a measly 1.5oz container, which was eaten in one bite. At a different BWW location, I was given probably a 16oz cup that was filled atleast halfway with mandarin oranges. I asked if this was the kid’s side because it was so tiny and I was told it was. He almost seemed unsure when he said it was, but I took it and went about my day. The wings were good, James was good, and I understand being understaffed, but the service for customers wanting to dine in was very...
Read moreWhat a disappointing outing. After a day of shopping at the mall, my wife and I decided to have dinner out, a rare occurrence for us. It had been a while since we visited BWW, so the idea sounded appealing. We noticed the restaurant was warmer than anticipated when we arrived, but we chose to bear with it. While waiting for a hostess, it seemed like nobody even acknowledged our presence. Servers passed by without a simple greeting. My wife voiced her concerns that this might not be a good choice. I suggested we give them a chance, considering they might be short-staffed.
Eventually, we were seated, and Dominique, our server, promptly took our drink order and appeared friendly. Our drinks arrived a few minutes later, and we waited for our order to be taken. Again, I tried to be understanding, thinking they might be short on staff, so we patiently waited for about 15 minutes before our order was finally taken. While waiting for our food, we noticed our server would disappear for extended periods, returning briefly to inform us that our food "should be out any minute." Famous last words.
As we continued to wait, we observed other tables at different server stations being seated, served their meals, and even receiving their checks before we got our food. It took over an hour before our meal arrived, and although our waitress apologized, it was evident that something had gone wrong. I don't know where the communication breakdown occurred, and I genuinely try to empathize with the challenges businesses face, but witnessing other tables being served while we waited made it clear that there was a significant issue.
Regrettably, I won't be giving this restaurant another chance, and I will be sharing my disappointing experience with my friends and family to dissuade them from visiting this establishment. BWW, this was a letdown...
