Rich & Charlie's South County — Restaurant in Mehlville

We often frequent this richen Charlie’s cause it’s close to home and traditionally we get great service great food, as always the food is terrific but I was kind of baffled by a couple things first of all Rich and Charlie’s went from pounding their veal cutlet To getting some kind of frozen chopped meat patty fried and then topped with meat sauce and cheese well I was starving so I devoured it. Really surprised that their standards have gone down that much also, when we sat down the four of us all got for lunch menus so being a frequent customer I know that you always get a salad with the lunch special so I figured great I’ll save a few bucks. So we ordered what I thought was for lunch entrées and for some reason we got a full order of spaghetti and meatballs, a full order of tutimari I know this because I ordered for everyone and everything we order was on the lunch menu average price $11.50 per plate with salad. When I asked the server why we got large orders he seemed very confused needless to say my bill was $72 for lunch for 4 Peopleuce and cheese called veal Parmesan. I didn’t have the heart to tell him he could probably get this it Fazoli’s for seven dolla People’s not to mention I got one process already covered with meat sauce and cheese call veal Parmesan. I didn’t have the heart to tell him making probably get this it Fazoli‘s for $4.00. Of course then you start looking around and hunting for beer. It was kind of dark in there as it usually is but I did notice the server had a hole in his shoe, and looked a bit disheveled. So I ended up spending $80 for lunch. Enough said , It’s still a good place, just a little bit disappointed this time around and concerned about...

This weekend Saturday 09-17-22 at around 11:15am, my boyfriend took me here for the first time. We were both excited bc he knows I love Italian salads and food. Upon arrival our waitress appeared a little impatient when we were deciding on what to order. She suggested to bring our sodas first. I was good with this. Then she took our order. As I was eating my salad, within a few minutes my pizza arrived. Before I could move my salad plate, she was pushing my pizza down in front of me hitting my plate without saying excuse me. Now I'm getting irritated. Halfway though our meal, I requested another salad. I ordered the unlimited. Her response was the manager is here, you have to clean your plate...you know we have so much waste. Then she picked up the salad bowl and proceeded to place the remainder of the salad in a plate on our table. Now I'm livid. Not only is she treating me like a child, but was just totally out of line. Had we not been in the middle of our meal and my boyfriend not given me that look saying to keep my cool, I would have canceled our order, paid for the sodas and left. I was so disappointed with the service and overall experience, I will never go here again. Before we left she did apologize and explained she was not being rude, but wanted me to understand she didn't want to get in trouble for bringing plates back with food on them. Also they were short on staff. By then it was too late. She set the tone and my meal was awful bc of what I had to deal with just to get it. I almost felt like I had to eat every bite just to prove a point, that I wasn't wasteful. Again, I paid for this food. It wasn't free. This is my first and last time...

It was sunny outside and you come in to a darkened place. Friends were already seated...hostess with them. Semi- private room..saw our party...tried to walk to them, sun in eyes did not see the STEP. TRIPPED on it and went down hard on knees, hit head on side of table!!! What an entrance. The hostess asked if I was okay, I said I didn't know yet. Finally got seated. To make the rest short.....server always in hurry, manicotti SO small I had to fill up on salad and bread..server always had to be asked for more salad and more bread. She was more interested in the people across the hall from us. Always over there never checking on us. Meanwhile, the manager showed up and asked how I was, said head hurt, asked if I needed a tylenol. Did not seem too interested in an old lady falling!!! Handed me his card if I had any questions! A few of our party had desserts..I opted for the mini cannoli cause did not know if I would like it..only $2.00 ..server said it was comped! I almost laughed in her face. Then I got P.Oed! Everyone got their bill, including me.I asked for manager, handed my bill to him. Oh, you want me to take care of this?? I said YEP. He did! But all the way home I seriously considered seeing a lawyer. Not for any money but to make them have a sign or something to warn people there is a step where you don't expect one!!!! I know this is long, but had to tell people who reads this to not get the lunch manicotti or small cannoli and if you go in the first room on the left..WATCH FOR...
