Broadway Pizza is normally the pizza out there. My experience on Friday night, Sept 25,2020 was a bad one. I ordered two 9 inch pizzas at 8:34. I was told the wait would be an hour, maybe an hour & 15 minutes. That was fine because I expected a wait. Normally the finished product I get is well worth the wait. I called them at 9:33 just to check if the were ready. I was told they were ready for me to pick up. I arrive at 10pm and paid for my pizzas. The cashier, I think Jessica was her name, went back to bring my pizzas and told me they were still in the oven and being taken out for me. Thought that was weird being that 30 minutes ago I was told they were ready for pickup. She told me it would be just a moment so I stepped back to wait. She took about 3 other patrons. Once she was done I asked her again if they were ready. She had totally forgotten that she’d just waited on me, asked me my name and asked if I had paid for it yet. I told her yes. She went back to check and then told me it would be a few more minutes. At that point I explained to her again I was told my pizzas were ready 30 minutes ago and that this was unacceptable. She then becomes unglued and told me that it wasn’t ready and that she was about to quit because customers are always complaining and coming in with attitudes. I told her that I didn’t have an attitude with her just frustrated because it’s now been about 2 hours and I’m still trying to understand why I was lied to when I called. Another young man came to tell me they were taking them out of the oven then. When I got them the cashier didn’t even open them up for me to inspect as this is normally a part of their process. Once I got home, they were not hot and was the worst pizzas that I’ve ever purchased from Broadway. I should have went with my 1st mind and went to the one on Broad because they have a more organized system and my pizzas are always perfect. This was a total waste of time and money. VERY DISAPPOINTED with this entire experience. I did not have an opportunity to inform the owner of his employee’s outburst and...
Read moreToday on 4/13 I had the worst experience at Broadway. My order was not how I ordered it and I asked one of the workers who I later found out was a manager could I get some fresh fried chicken on my very cold salad. The guy told me he could not give me fresh chicken but could take the chicken that was already on there and put it back in the deep fryer. I couldn't believe he said that to me I couldn't believe that if a customer comes in and spends almost $30 on 2 salads they don't deserve fresh chicken. I was upset and so I called the other store on Broadway to see if I could talk to a manager and the lady there told me that she had already gotten a call from her sister at the poplar location about the situation that had happened. She then basically called me a liar about what had happened by saying " I'm not calling you a liar but I know my sister would never lie to me" I'm like if your saying that your basically calling me a liar. I asked her if she wanted to roll the cameras back and look at the incident and see what happened then she asked what good would that do. This was absolutely ridiculous. I asked if I could speak to someone higher up and she said it doesn't get any higher than her. I told her I didn't appreciate her calling me a liar about what happened and she said " I'm not calling you a liar but you expect me to believe your word which is a complete stranger over someone who I've known all my life". I just could not believe the treatment I was getting after spending over $60 total for my food. I don't know if it was because me and my mom are black and that's why we were treated this way or what it was but I do know it was just plain disrespectful and disgusting to me. I am a very honest person and I don't like spending my money at places that makes me feel like my money isn't worth s**t to them. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO BROADWAY AGAIN IN MY LIFE. I WILL NOT ACCEPT BEING TREATED THIS WAY, AND I WILL DEFINITELY BE TRYING TO FIND WAYS TO GET THIS PROBLEM LOOKED AT AND...
Read moreGreat Pie Pizzaria!!! Better if instructions are(were) followed.
Real quick... when we eat pizza, we only want it to fall apart in our mouth - as fangs, facilitate the fixings per our tongue, to have a taste of each of the toppings 🤔 right?
Well... Broadway has a way of not allowing their pies to stay in place.
So, most likely (and usually - 4 one that does know know better)the toppings take a sliding ride odf of the crust, like an oiled seal on a slant of ice. 😔😐😔
However, I remedy (attempt at least) this marinara sauce madness of an avalanched olive specifally requesting: "Extra cheese ON THE crust under the toppings, and cook crust well done." Well, as loooong as it took. One thought it was happening. But instead - soggy, greasy crust, with NO extra cheese and a game show like challenge to get the pizza and toppings in my mouth and not the floor - or my shirt - or on the tray for my brother to try and snatch up for his slices.
FOLLOW FRIGGIN Directions. Some customers are right, cause nit only are they paying but THEY ARE EATING the food.
Four stars☆☆☆☆ are due to the next day, oven baked "crispiness" of the crust and extra cheese adhesive placed - as desired - strategically on eac slice.
Broadway is the way to go if they go with what YOU say.
And no, I dont want you to do it again, I already have waited 45 minutes... must I wait some more...
