I just want to say I am very disappointed with the quality of the service and the food that I received today (4/10/25) for lunch. I came to your restaurant with a group from work today. I ordered the large appetizer platter with the 6 mini bbq pizzas, toasted ravioli and mozzarella sticks. Everyone else in my party was served their food and I kept being told it would be 2 more minutes on mine. I finally told my server I would just box up my leftovers and take them home expecting that she would bring out my food for me to eat with some to go boxes. She brought my food out already boxed up for me to take home instead of me trying to eat some there with my co-workers who were already done eating and getting their bills. She offered me some dessert which I said sure I would like some strawberry cheese cake. I did not look in the boxes/containers until I got home. The bbq pizza crust was so chewy it was inedible, there was no cheese on the pizza and the bbq sauce had no flavor in fact it basically tasted like spaghetti sauce that was used for the ravioli and mozzarella sticks. The toasted ravioli and cheese sticks were chewy and inedible as well. The dessert she sent home with me was the chocolate cake and tiramisu not cheese cake. I spent $26.33 before tip for sub-par food. Why would I even consider eating at your establishment ever again?!?! I realize that we were a big group (14 people) but an appetizer should not have been the last thing to be brought to the table!!

I went to Coletta's for my friend graduation celebration on June 1st, 2024. The first thing I noticed was the outside of the building. The building look a little rough outside, and probably need a paint job and cleaning. Also when I got inside the restaurant there were some kind of strange smell that lasted a little bit, but noticeable. Our waitress that serve everyone was nice and very patient while we waited for everyone to get to the restaurant. I was starring at the beautiful water fountain while I waited. Our waitress bought out some bread. The bread was very delicious to get ready for the rest of my meal. I also tried one of the guests fried ravioli and Italian spinach. Definitely wasn't a fan of both items. For my main dish I decided to get the Coletta Burger and Fries. The fries definitely needed more seasoning to pop out. The Coletta Burger was ok, it was hard to hold it sometimes because how big it was. I ended up using a fork and knife to help myself attempt to eat the burger. I'm not sure if the mushrooms and onions go well with the meat sauce on the burger.

Just got this doordashed. We got hot food. That's about the only good thing that came out of this experience. We got some toasted ravioli and some spaghetti with their home made meat sauce. The meat in both dishes indicated some level of freezer burn. The meat in the ravioli was green??? Like I'm going to do a review everywhere else I go just so I can come back and show y'all the picture. The noodles somehow had the consistency of mashed potatoes. The bread feels more like a soft rock than a soft roll that taste like someone buttered up the dough from the pizza then flambé'd it for 30 seconds. The chocolate cake taste like someone left a dark chocolate m&m in the sun just a little bit too long and mushed it together with half a chocolate cheesecake. The servers there sounded petrified when we began to ask for a refund. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Not the servers tho. The servers are okay.

Just so you know ahead of time, I posted this same review on Yelp.

Visiting Colettas? What type of service and dining experience are you going to have? Check out a couple of recent reviews.

Nov 5, 2023 horrible service ....need better servers . Begging them to bring us bread but would never bring.

Dec 3, 2023 My Italian marinated chicken and spaghetti was abysmal. Absolutely abysmal. The flavoring was alright but the chicken itself was horribly dry.

Jan 10, 2023 For a place that is "liked" by so many, it is an utter trash hole. This is my second time trying it because I thought they may have had an off night. Nope. It's the same trash. Did they give up? I've honestly had better Italian food out of the frozen food isle of Kroger.

On Yelp, Coletta’s has a 2 and a half start rating. Lets go for it.

So how did visit go this week?

We called the establishment to set up a reservation for 06-27-24, at 1900 with a party of ten. Several of us arrived early and were told that the tables will be ready shortly an were directed to the bar to wait.

First off, I did not get the name of the young man that was managing the bar that night. While he was greatly my junior, he had an excellent working knowledge and respectful of the classical cocktails and the house specialty drinks. He served us with finesse. Shortly, we were called into the dining room by the hostess.

Yes, the building is getting on in years, yet is well worth looking around. The fountain adds a quiet restful touch to the dining room, yet it seems so few take a minute to appreciate it. Once you are at your table, glance around the room, you imagine yourself sitting on a terrace in Italy. Let your mind go a few minutes, relax.

Eric. our waiter efficiently handed out menus and took our drink orders and brought fresh rolls with butter for the table. Rolls, not Italian bread, fresh out of the oven rolls. Once he took our orders, while I didn’t time anything, the orders started coming out of the kitchen in a reasonable time. Realize that I’m with a group of ten other people, and none of us mentioned a problem with any of the meals that were brought out. As I’ve been out with this group before, often some faults are found and spoken about - to the rest of us, and not necessarily reported to the staff as a problem.

The meals were definitely 4 star. As for the service, Eric did an excellent job - attentive, not overbearing and appeared at the right times, and did not annoy any of us. Thanks to Eric and the unnamed bar tender, this visit deserves a 5 start review.

There were other parties being served, however, it wasn’t a busy night. The establishment was clean, the men’s room was clean. Its an older building that is starting to show its age, yet it is well worth visiting.

The 5 Star Review Rating: In contrast to my review, I have recieved comments from friends, neighbors that have visited Coletta's over the past several months and have had problems with the staff and / or food.

One must be aware that many establishments sometimes have problems in either the front of the house or back of the house and sometimes both and not necessarly on the same day......

We selected the restaraunt because they can handle large groups. Yet, we knew there might be problems. The visit to restaraunt for the group went smoothly and there were...

I wanted to add more to my review. We recently had a huge birthday celebration for my Grandmothers 100th birthday. Me and my family wanted to express our gratitude to the staff at Colette's. Thank you so much for making this event a huge success. All the guests who attended the party were very impressed. The food was delicious and the staff were helpful. Thank you Christina for making sure the arrangements and decorations were correct and a very big thank you to Ted the server. Ted was amazing. Every time we needed him he was there. This party would not have been a success without Ted and Christina. This party was an event we will never forget. Thank you so much! We will be back again very soon.

I had called Colettas to see if I could reserve a private area. We had some family we had never seen before and were meeting them for the first time. We only had 9 people in our party but we wanted some privacy in order to get to know each other in a quiet room. I had called all over Germantown and Cordova with no luck because our party wasn't big enough. I called Coletta's and spoke with Brooke. She was so nice and extra helpful. I told her my situation and she really seemed to want to help. She put me on hold for less than a minute. She came back on the phone and said the owner said we could reserve the room and we didn't have to pay a deposit. The owner waved the deposit. Oh I was so happy and relieved. I thanked Brooke so much. We had a great lunch and a great experience. The service was excellent and the food was delicious as always. Good customer service is hard to find in this world these days but Coletta's still honors not only good customer service but excellent customer service. I would have loved to have met the owner. Thank you again to Brooke. We really really do...

Where's the meat!!! I ordered two spaghetti entrees with meat sauce. This was part of the $75.00 that I spent at Coletta's on Appling Rd. I had guests over to my home and I decided to allow Coletta's to be a part of our Independence Day feast. I took the order home and after serving it buffet style, a couple of my guests noticed that there was NO meat in the sauce of my two spaghetti entrees. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with the manager. The manager's name with whom I spoke with was Christina. The manager first stated that they don't have that much meat in their meat sauce (which would make the picture of this specific entree on their website to be very misleading). I told her in my case, it would be no meat! She then said that all the meat floats to the bottom of the sauce pot. Okay, so I guess that means it's alright for you to charge me extra for something I didn't receive. I feel that is an unacceptable excuse😡. If you charged me for meat sauce then it is your obligation to make sure that there is meat sauce in my spaghetti! The manager then finally suggested that I refrigerate the remainder of my spaghetti on my Independence holiday and return the next day for a refund. My thing with this issue is not only about being inconvenienced but that this establishment that many of us everyday hard working individuals helped throughout many decades to become successful feel that it is acceptable to take advantage of this patronism by cutting corners at the...
