Today, I visited Enchanted Tea Lounge with a group eager to experience its charm. Upon entering—after my party had already been seated—I was immediately hit with a wave of nostalgia. The ambiance reminded me fondly of my great-grandmother’s home. Unfortunately, that initial warmth quickly faded.
While the servers were knowledgeable about the tea selection, their appearance did not align with the aesthetic of the establishment. Dressed in running shorts, t-shirts, and with unkempt hair, it created a jarring contrast to the otherwise quaint atmosphere.
There was no food menu available, and what we were served felt inconsistent with the theme. The offerings included fresh fruit, what appeared to be possibly expired glazed donuts, warm open-faced salmon spread on bread, crustless cucumber sandwiches, undercooked chicken-spinach biscuit balls, overcooked turkey sausage links with egg and cheese on a croissant, and a small dessert tower. Unfortunately, many of these items were brought out without explanation, which left us guessing and slightly confused.
On a positive note, the staff did facilitate a tea-themed icebreaker game, which added a thoughtful and interactive touch to the visit.
The venue itself is quaint but not as pristine as photos suggest. If you suffer from severe allergies, this may impact your ability to enjoy the space. Additionally, there was no itemized receipt provided, making it unclear how our total was calculated—an oversight that didn’t inspire confidence.
At $56 per person, I left feeling unsatisfied and somewhat disappointed. A few key improvements could truly elevate this space to meet the potential it clearly has: enforcing a dress code for both staff and guests (for both aesthetic consistency and safety), deepening the commitment to cleanliness, offering a curated and cohesive menu that complements the ambiance (glazed donuts, for instance, felt out of place), choosing music that aligns with the theme of a refined tea lounge rather than catering to customer preference, and most importantly, providing transparent billing.
With these enhancements, Enchanted Tea Lounge could truly become the serene, elegant experience it...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were visiting from out of state and went to Enchanted Tea Lounge for a Valentine's date. I thought it was a an absolutely delightful experience. The hostess was friendly and the service was great. It did take a while for the waitress to take our tea order, but I had no issue with that as the menu is quite large, so it gave us enough time to look through all our options. The food was quite good. Our favorite of the savories was the salmon toast item. I thought the bread on the Cucumber sandwich tasted a bit dry, but it was otherwise good. The highlight of the meal was the blueberry scone. It was one of the best scones I've ever had. The other dessert was a peach cooler which was quite yummy and a no-bake cookie that reminded me of the ones my mom would make me as a kid. There were two minor disappoints for me at the Enchanted Tea Lounge. First, I don't like having too much caffeine, so I was hoping for something decaf. Despite an incredible selection of teas, there were only four herbal teas and one decaf green tea. The waitress did suggest a handful of low caffeine white teas, and I was disappointed when the one I selected was out of supply. Given how many tea options there are, I would have liked to see more decaf options. Second, the tea was served in a clear tea press. I found this underwhelming and it didn't fit the vibe of the experience. The lounge space we were sat in was beautiful, and the tea sets were so pretty. I would have liked our tea served in a teapot that matched or complimented the beautiful tea cups and saucers at our table. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we hope to be back if we...
Read moreToday, we visited Enchanted Tea Lounge in Memphis, TN for a Birthday Prayer Brunch, and it was absolutely magical. This Black woman-owned tea lounge is a true labor of love, where every detail is thoughtfully and intentionally designed to create an elegant and peaceful experience.
As a Black woman, stepping into a space where I would have historically only been invited as a servant, but instead was served with care and excellence, was nothing short of spiritual.
We purchased the Brunch Package ($50) and received far more than we paid for. Our experience included: ✨ Tea-mosas to start ✨ Chocolate bagels & fresh fruit as our first course ✨ Afternoon tea service with our own personalized tea selections and classic delights ✨ A full brunch featuring waffles, egg frittata, sausage, and roasted potatoes
Everything was delicious—I did not eat a single thing I didn’t love. The atmosphere was tranquil and serene, a true escape where the world felt like it was shut off, allowing me to breathe and relax fully.
If you are looking for an elegant, intentional, and rejuvenating experience, Enchanted Tea Lounge is the place for you. I cannot...
