This is a place that "should be" better than it is.
I have been to many similar restaurants across the country and this one is at the bottom of the barrel. Three visits to this location and Im not sure I will go back.
The concept is good, but everything after walking in falls apart.
From the very beginning, the person taking your order seems to be annoyed and really not friendly. It stands out and frankly have considered walking out because of it. I should have.
Walking down the line, you can see the food prep folks are trying to get things done, and usually, as you move down the line, you can see your food getting assembled and you would collect it at the end.
Not here - you might as well get comfy because you will be waiting. Not to worry though, because the show is about to begin.
If you can find a clean table - yes this is an issue at this location - you can enjoy the employees just waiting to jump on a customer about the salad bar. Yup - this is a one and done salad bar and they have posted signs about no return trips. They are militant about it. Ive never witnessed such behavior towards customers before - yelling at old folks that clearly only ordered salad bar. Honestly, especially for the price paid, there is no reason for this to be a one and done. Covid reasons? Then they shouldn't have an open salad bar at all. Its cheap and tacky to see this happen and I have witnessed it - EVERY, SINGLE visit.
Now considering that they have a DEDICATED Salad Bar staff member, its surprising how many items are out of stock. Every time I have visited - without fail - I watch customers have to politely ask for items to be replaced as they were empty. Its very odd - especially when they have a person overseeing this one simple thing.
Onto the moving portion of the show. The single person with the cart to buss tables. I felt bad for this person as they clearly do not enjoy their job. Slowly working their way around the room, its a miracle if they actually handle more than one table during the lap around the room. Its clearly more theater than cleaning and theres nothing more appealing than them parking their cart next to your table while you try to enjoy your meal. Yup - this actually happened more than once. In all of the places for them to put it - its next to customers and not at the table they are "cleaning"
At this point, you should just remove the "ice cream machine" - I say that because its obviously a decoration at this point. It hasn't operated for who knows exactly how long, but certainly months and never during any of my visits.

Read moreI have been dining at Jasons deli for over a decade. I have dined at the one off of Highland in Memphis as well as the location that’s on Germantown Parkway in Cordova. On most occasions my experience was five stars. Post pandemic I have noticed a decline in the service and preparation of food at the Germantown Parkway location. Today my experience at the Jasons deli on Germantown Parkway was less than acceptable. The food when it was brought to the table that was cold. The silverware was dirty. The food was not cook thoroughly. I ordered a muffaletta, it was not prepared properly. My husband ordered a loaded baked potato it was not cooked properly it was not hot nor was it completely cooked. The establishment did not have any napkins or clean silverware. When I spoke to the manager K…she was less than excepting of the obvious issues that we had with the meal. She was rude her body language was inappropriate. Although she did refund the meal, she failed to acknowledge my concerns. Nor did I ask to be refunded. I want the workers at this location to be retrained immediately. I am simply stating facts as well as my experience at this location. This is not the first time, post pandemic that I have visited this location. It seems to be an issue with properly trained employees. I am seeking out the owner information so that I can report these issues to him. I understand and believe that workers can be the downfall of an establishment. I do not want that to happen to Jasons deli it has been a great place to eat and socialize with friends and coworkers. I will go back to Jason’s deli but I will only visit the one...
Read moreI'm very disappointed today. For the last two month's I have been getting my lunch at the Cordova, tn. location. I am very big on plastic conservation and I don't like to use it if it can be avoided. I have been ordering the salad bar to-go and getting them to substitute the very large plastic containers with the smaller paper rectangular ones instead. Yes, I was paying the same price and squeezing what I could into the smaller container and walking away EVERY time with less food than I actually paid for. This was fine with me since I knew I wasn't damaging the environment with every meal I ate there.
However, today the manager came up to me while I was fixing my miniature salad and informed me that they did not allow this and that I could no longer request the SMALLER paper container and that if I wanted a salad to go then I must accept the large wasteful plastic container instead. I informed them that if this was the case, then they would never see me there again. She said that's just how it is...
I would've thought that a store that is as health conscious as Jason's deli is would be VERY aware that the bulk of the health conscious individuals are ALSO very aware of environmental friendliness and that we go the extra mile to avoid places that do not do their part to stop the global pollution that is destroying our planet.
I hope that some day in the near future, that Jason's deli takes the step towards environmental conservation that the other leaders of the health food industry have taken. Your food is excellent, but there are other healthy places that I can eat without being forced to...
