We arrived at 915 am checked in due to wait for seating we got seated around 940 am and a few minutes later our server took our order. As my sister and I chatted over coffee others were being seated around us but after a while I noticed the people seated after us had received their food. I looked at the time it was 10:57 am. No food, no feedback to us what was going on. So our server came from out the kitchen still not providing us any feedback my sister waved to get her attention. She said I know they are behind in the kitchen none of my tables have food but one she said..but only her tables didn't have food others were still bringing food from the kitchen to other guest... so we waited an additional 10 minutes and I stopped another waitress and asked her who was the manager and she asked if I wanted her to come to the table. I said yes please a few minutes later our food came out finally. So we finished breakfast and awaited our server to come back to check on us but we ended up asking another waitress to ask our server to bring us our check. We waited about an additional 10 minutes no waitress with the check so we got up and headed to the register so by the time we reached the register the manager was coming from the back as if we were going to leave without paying so I gave the worker at the register the waitress name to pull up our check, paid and I asked again to see the manager. So a different manager came out and I told her everything above and about the poor communication from waitress to us regarding the long wait as well as the other manager assuming we were trying to ditch paying. The manager was very receptive to hearing our feedback to hopefully use our bad experience as a training opportunity to provide better service. Read moreI used to LOVE Perkins. It's one place I frequently eat at when returning home. My recent visit was quite disappointing. First, the good: EVERY one we encountered who worked there were super kind, helpful, and nice! Great service overall! This is a marked difference from the past also because there have been plenty of times the service was crappy. In fact, my last time there, the service was lacking. (Complete with the server giving me the wrong drink in my to go cup--a coke when I requested a refill of the tea I'd had, and proceeded to repeatedly tell me, no, it's a tea. I laughed to diffuse the situation and said "tea doesn't have bubbles and isn't this dark. This is a coke.") Second, let me be CLEAR, the food TASTED fine, but the quality of it overall was disappointing. I ordered the Everything Omelette; there was more "everything" than"omelette." And truthfully, that wasn't an omelette. At best, it was a fried egg that was tucked with the ingredients. I've had omelettes in many breakfast places, including Perkins. I've NEVER been able to finish an omelette in the restaurant because most omelettes are at least 3 eggs, sometimes more. That omelette was w eggs, at best. The cheese wasn't melted at all, it was sprinkled on top. The breakfast potatoes were good. The pancakes were fluffy, but lacking much flavor. I honestly questioned if they were fresh made because they tasted a LOT like the frozen pancakes you can buy in stores. My sweet tea was great and other drinks that folks had at my table were also fine. New Update: Saturday 10 - 1 - 2022, around 10 am - my church celebration was good shepherd day for our pastor. We had approximately 25 - 30 church members show up earlier today. 1st the waitress took everyone ' s drink order which took her 20 30 minutes to bring everyone their drinks then 2nd the waitress took everyone 's food order that took another 30 minutes to bring everyone 's food out from the kitchen. 3rd the waitress brought a sister & my food to our table our food was cold so both orders got sent back to the kitchen to be re made. My church sister got her 2 nd food order 20 minutes later, while I was still waiting for my re make order. The waitress told me the manager is making my food so I will have to wait longer. I asked the waitress to please bring me my check for my water and coffee, she said the manager was almost finished re making my breakfast in all I had to wait patiently for 40 to 45 minutes for my re make order to be brought out to me at my table. My total bill was $18.97 I paid the cashier however with that being said I didn't give the manager or waitress a tip either.
