This was my first visit to Another Broken Egg. It did not disappoint, and it held true to my if it closes by 3pm the food is usually good theory. I have been to places all over the US and this theory is tried and true. Anywho back to ABE. The initial greeting was standard but as we walked to our table every staff member provided a salutation - hello or good morning. We were seated and it took a moment before the waitress came but it was no biggie as my cousin and I began the fellowship part of our monthly food and fellowship. My cousin order the traditional french toast and added strawberries, with eggs and chicken sausage. I ordered the pancake trio flight - mixed berries, lemon blueberry with goat cheese, and banana Foster, with egg and housemade sausage. There were berries throughout the mixed berries pancake, not just on top. The banana foster pancake actual had banana flavor in it, which was enhanced by the bananas and the sauce on top.Neither of us were disappointed! Everything was delicious! They even provided complimentary Beignets. I will definitely be returning. I wish I could remember our server's name so I could give her a shout out as well! SN: if you are like me and heard and read mix reviews that made you hesitant about trying Another Broken Egg, I say try it for yourself. I'm glad I did!

I'm not one to eat out often, but after a long and grueling Saturday helping my girlfriend move and then driving to Covington, TN for an event, I was too exhausted to cook this morning. My girlfriend ordered us breakfast from Another Broken Egg on Highland and I chose the Crab Cake Benedict. I don't know who the cook was—maybe they were sleep deprived or just trifling—but I found pieces of un-chewable food in my meal. At first, I pulled them out and kept eating (I remind you I was hungry). But mid-bite, I decided to inspect what I was pulling out. To my horror, it was plastic and some form of paper. I can't express my level of frustration. This isn't even about the $18 I spent; I don’t want a gift card, an apology, none of the that. This is about the basic decency and quality of service I expect from a food establishment. This experience was beyond disappointing. I’ve eaten at the location one other time, but I will NEVER go back or eat anything from here again 🚫 She ordered food this morning around 8:30 on Sunday. Upon finding this in my food we both stopped eating. This is not at all about the money. Every meal I’ve eaten today has made me think back to this morning. I wanted to post this because I feel it’s important that people know when choosing to grab food from a restaurant.

I've been here a million times, but I decided to try something different. The mardi gras omelet had all the seafood meats, plus I got turkey sausage instead of the pork. Note that the omelet is a little deconstructed to me, but It was good. DO NOT AND I DO MEAN DO NO GET THE PLAIN GRITS.(unless you know how to doctor them up or you like nonflavored food) I don't know why the gouda grits get all the love, and the regular grits don't even get a pinch of salt, but they don't. I tasted them and then subbed them out for the potatoes. My biscuit is not shown in the picture because it was a little late, but when I tell you, they made sure the wait was worth my while. It was so soft, good, and hot. It made my inner fat girl happy. I had a blueberry lemon mimosa, I'll just say I only needed one. The flow of the food coming out was not the best, but the great customer service from the bartender took the focus off the wait. She was great. She was working more than just the bar, but she made sure to continuously check on all the patrons at the bar, and she was running back and forward to the kitchen, correcting any confusion. My brunch was good and I'll be back.

This Another Broken Egg (Highland location) is truly broken!!!! Arrived today, Sat. 06/19/21, at 9:55 am without reservations (or any prior knowlege about an app) to place our names on the wait list. We were told our wait would be 45 minutes to an hour. We were having an early Father's Day brunch with our daughter and her fiance. Our daughter suggested going somewhere else but I wanted to stay. It was my 2nd time here and since my first visit was less than ideal (had too long a wait and had to get our order to go only to eat our cold food later in the car)....I wanted to try again! We were pleasantly surprised to see water being offered and given to the many of us waiting. It was a beautiful morning with a light breeze blowing while we were standing on the outside patio area. I had great expectations!!! After about 45-50 minutes hubby checked to see how many were ahead of us and was told 7. We continued to wait the full hour plus 5 minutes without a call. I went to check again, now 15-20 minutes after my husband, to be told the same thing...7 ahead of us! I went inside to check with the hostess who was actually seating guests. At this point she told me about the app and how they can actually bump and go ahead of others who were there that had already been waiting. When I explained we had waited an hour and 10 minutes for first available she then seated our party on the outside patio. A very pleasant and kind waitress appeared to take our orders and since we still had our waters she only had to bring one iced tea for my husband. After a few minutes and my husband looking at a printed menu we all placed our orders. After another 20 minutes the waitress came to our table to say it should be any minute that they were placing our food on a tray. After another 15 minutes my husband was done, our daughter was getting sick from hunger, and I felt like my stomach was cleaving to my backbone. After a 2 hour total wait time and still no food in sight we got up to leave. My husband talked to a manager who seemed neither helpful or concerned in the least. We couldn't believe the time we had wasted, the fact we never received our food, or the lack of concern shown to us by management! We drove to a nearby trusted restaurant on Summer Avenue, ordered and received our food in less than 10 minutes, had eaten a meal of delicious barbeque and were headed back to the first restaurant to get our second vehicle we had left there...all in less than 40 minutes!!!!! Sooo much for Another Broken Egg! We won't be coming back to this location EVER and will have to think long and hard before considering going to any other Another Broken Egg location!!! Truly, a very sad, bitter disappointment and a huge let down for our Father's Day celebration! Had there been a way to give a zero or negative score I would have as I feel this restaurant needs much more training to bring it up to an even minimally satisfactory score! Sorrry...Another Broken Egg...but you get a...

I have visited Another Broken Egg on Park Ave. several times, it is close to my job and I always heard how great it was, and it definitely did deliver. I had family visiting from Houston, TX this weekend and we decided to do breakfast prior to them getting on the road Sunday, so reservations were made at 7AM, for an arrival time of 10AM for a party of 12. We arrived at 9:47AM, and were told we would still have an hour wait, with it being 12 we waited outside in the sun, and one of the staff came out within 15 minutes and brought chairs for us to sit under the patio which was not open for serving on that day, which is what we were told when we asked about us eating on the patio. We thanked him for bringing us chairs to sit down while we wait for another 45 minutes. Within 20 minutes we saw another staff member come out and set up for seating on the patio because there were some out of town guests who had a dog, so they were going to let them sit on the patio. ??????I will let that sit there. So after sitting there for 55 minutes we went in to check and were told it would be an additional 30 minutes, which actually turned into an additional hour, and when I went in to inquire about having 2 people that were diabetic and we had been waiting for 2 hours. After being seated, I truly noticed what the problem was. The Hostess (Becky) has no idea what she is doing, I could clearly see that. There was a table for 6, that only had 2 people sitting at it, why would you do that when you had 3 parties of more than 10 that were waiting to be seated. I worked in the restaurant industry, and this place is somewhere I would never go again, and never recommend. After a 3 hour wait, the food was not good, and I hated I recommended this place for out of towners. You would think after waiting all morning to eat, anything would taste good, "NOT in this case"! Our waitress was the best, attentive, knowledgeable, and patient! But the food, and the first point of contact was horrible, enough to say "Never Again. Last but not least, my sister found hair in her eggs, and noone ever came out to apologize, and we did not make a big...

We arrived around 910 am to a relatively empty restaurant. While our order was taken promptly within 10 minutes of sitting down, we had to ask a hostess- who was also bussing tables- to get our waitress so we could get a refill on our coffee. The hostess told us "I don't know, that's not my job" and walked away from our table. I walked around the restaurant and found the waitresses hanging out in the kitchen talking and opened the kitchen door asking for a waitress to come to our table. Our waitress finally showed up and got our refills, this was around 940am and said our food would be out shortly. Another table thanked us because they'd been waitong about 10 minutes for their first round of coffees. She said our food would be out soon and we waited. Another 40 minutes went by and when our food came out, the plates were hot but the food was cold. We tried a bite to be sure and the food was freezing. We asked to talk to a manager 3 different times before a manager arrived and said that the food was made fresh and came right out to us. They offered to remake our food but we couldn' t wait any longer and offered to pay for our drinks. They still wouldn't let us go without paying for the food, claiming there was no way the food would be cold, even though it was. They refused to let us pay for just the drinks and suggested we leave, so we left. We will not be returning after 6+ years of dedicated patronage. We usually enjoy the food here but this particular location has gone down hill. The manager called me a Karen for not wanting to eat cold food. Which I tried to eat but it was cold. I've never been so disrespected. I've worked in the food industry for over 10 years and this is not how I would treat any customer because our...
