I RARELY give 5 stars 'cause there is always room for improvement, just my opinion. But, Rafferty's Restaurant & Bar (Memphis) is hands-down one of the best customer service, foodie experiences I have EVER had! I was in town (Memphis) to bring in the New Year and was brought here by a Memphis native. Had to come here because my homie RAVES about the food, especially the hot croissants and honey butter. I even was shown the food during a live video of my homie dining and it looked pretty good. Now, I am not a big bread fan, nor do I care for condiments; I would rather load up on potatoes, rice, and meat for my calorie overloads, LOL. But, I am totally (with a capital "T"đ€© ) sold on Rafferty's delicious croissants and honey butter! All the food was out of sight (telling my age, LOL): hot chicken finger platter, loaded mashed potatoes, ribs, cesar salad (gotta keep it healthy...or try đ) were just a few dishes that adorned our table. Our server was Jeffrey T and the manager on duty was Keith. Both of these gentlemen are kind, informative, and just down-right FULL of that southern hospitality that I hear SO much about. Jeffrey T DOES NOT use a pad to write down orders and remembered everything we ordered, even the substitutions. Now, that's a skill, people, 'cause we can be a picky duo at times! I hesitated on my drink order and said two different things and Jeffrey T brought both just in case; another example of how freaking dope the customer service is here. The waiting area was pretty crowded, as I am told is the norm, but Mr. Keith got my party of two in pretty quick as well as large parties that were waiting to be seated. I am from a different part of the states (go up and to your left a lil bit) and gotta get "smart-mouthed" just for an employee to look up and acknowledge me đ€. So I am ALL over places and staff that are attentive to their customers. I will be visiting Memphis again in a few days and Rafferty's is already on my list to dine before I head home. I am gunning for that pork chop next! Definitely bringing back some croissants and honey butter to share with my folks, since I have been bragging heavily. Keep up the good work, Ya'll, and throw a promotion or two, and some extra coin đ°đ”, to Jeffery T...
Read moreI have been going to Raffertyâs for the past 17 years. I have written news articles about it that have appeared in Commercial Appel; and when the tornado took down the Winchester location, the manager gave me one of the decorated plate glass windows with Raffertyâs written on it. That decorated glass is now in a frame hanging in the hallway of my house. So having said that, I would like to say that Iâm giving it a five star rating because I have loved it for so long. However, and this is a big however, the last two times that I have been at the Cordova location, I have been very annoyed! I understand that with this virus causing social distancing regulations to be put in place that everyone has a follow those rules. But the last two times that I was there, there was hardly anyone in that restaurant and I was told that it would be a two hour wait. When I message the manager on the website, I received no feedback. Given the fact that I am a very loyal customer, my instincts about certain people who are working are usually correct. I have practically met and become friendly with all of them. I truly feel that I was being told certain things just so they would encourage me and other people to leave, so that they would not have to be bothered.I love this restaurant too much for it to begin to even think about going downhill. I also will be posting this review if the manager at the time wouldâve had the decency to contact me when I first gave...
Read moreLet me start off by saying, I haven't visited a Rafferty's Restaurant in over 10 years. The last time I ever ate at one, it was located on Winchester & Hickory Hill. Tonight, I decided to try the G'Town Pkwy location and made a UberEats order. The chicken salad was horrible ! The salad contain small hard pieces of chicken & a few lettuce stalks. The restaurant didn't send the complimentary dressing nor the extra dressing I paid for !! I've gotten better salads from Chick-fil-A !..& at least they always gave their customers complimentary dressing.
When I arrived at the restaurant, it was a few minutes before the 9p closing; and the main entrance door was locked. The rude hostess complained about me not going to the other entrance. I gladly informed her that I never been to this restaurant before and wasn't aware of a second entrance. Plus, the main entrance is the only entrance a person can view for Germantown Parkway. Moving forward, the Hispanic manager wasn't apologetic or empathic. She stated, she couldnt refund my order due to it being purchased through Uber Eats. Furthermore, she didn't even offer anything for my inconvenience !! Just a "fake" I'm sorry. Now, I got to go through hell trying to get my refund from UberEats.
I never dine at this location; however, from my brief encounter with them tonight I won't ever step foot in this restaurant nor order from...
