Read moreA small group of us went there for dinner. Everything was horrendous. I arrived first and sat at the bar. From initially getting a drink menu to ordering a second beer and settling up to move to a table, the wait was always long. I initially ordered a draft beer off of the menu, but they were not setup for draft beer, only bottled. I was the only one at the bar and they fluctuated between no one behind the bar for stretches of time to 2 folks behind the bar and it was always hard for me to get their attention since they spent more time talking amongst themselves, the waitresses, and the band folks. A few at the table ordered Mezcal Margheritas on the rocks. After a long wait, the drinks showed up only to be of the frozen variety and not contain Mezcal. After a long wait, they got the on the rocks replacements, but Mezcal was not used. To make up for it, they gave one of the individuals a free shot of Mezcal but was verified that it was NOT Mezcal. The menu was mostly in Spanish and I was thinking I’d order a burrito and expected the norm of a burrito, beans, and rice. When it came, it was just a burrito, nothing else. It was small and not that good but the price fell right in line with other restaurants providing a better product along with the side items. A couple ordered a ceviche dinner. There were a number of shrimp that were raw and not cured properly. It was sort of gross. Our bills had two fees tacked on: Gratuity (18%) and Non-Cash Adjustment, or credit card fee (4%, i.e.: illegal). Nothing was posted nor communicated to us prior to ordering that these fees would be charged. Sort of comical since we were so appalled at the service, we considered going somewhere else to eat but decided to stay and order. One person in our group was paying with cash. The waitress gave him change back based on the “Pay with CC” amount vs. the “Pay with Cash” amount. He had to request that he be given the additional amount back. Suggested Tips were listed at the bottom of the receipt in suggested amounts of 15%, 18%, 20% and 25% and was based on the total amount of the bill (Food + Tax + Gratuity + Credit Card Fee), effectively more than double dipping on tip! As we were finishing, the band started. They were not bad, but extremely loud (several brass instruments) to the point most of us got up and moved away to the server station to pay our bills rather than stay in the area. My ears were ringing when I left. Upon leaving, we all acknowledged there is no way any of us will go back there and it might have been the worst restaurant experience any of us...
The food is good here but I would not recommend coming here on Friday nights or Saturday nights because they will over charge you and they will charge a $30 gratuity fee. Live band is great as well but come at your own risk because they will overcharge
Responding to the owner it may seem like I was with a big party but that big party had 3 separate checks my check was only for 3 adults and 1 child. 12 tacos and 2 buckets of beer, arroz con frijoles and a michelada and a coke. The waitress did not have good customer service and she just keep bringing buckets of beer we didn’t even ask for and it took her 20 minutes to finally take our order. We got 3 plates of tacos one came with grilled onion, radish and cucumber, the second plate came with grilled onion and radish then the third plate came with just the grilled onion and the waitress didn’t even bring us salsa. Also isn’t it your responsibility to let your customers know BEFORE ordering that your card machine is down so only cash payments can be made. It just seems very suspicious to me and unprofessional. So charging $260 for what I ordered is too much and...
Read moreMy experience was horrible. First my food took an hour and 20 minutes to come out. My server never checked on us, only when I waved her down because we needed napkins and she still didnt even bring that. The wings we ordered as our appetizer tasted like they were a month old. Even the fries tasted like they came out of a box, even mcdonalds has better fries and chicken. Everything else was fine. When i asked my server to take the wings back, keep in mind im also in the restaurant industry so that alone was hard for me, another server leslie brought them back saying it was our fault for ordering them. When it was time to pay obviously I didnt want to pay for the sour wings a man comes out and tells me how if I ordered something it was my issue. After I asked him if he believed in customer satisfaction he said no. After that I knew my conversation with him and the other workers was pointless. So I paid. All in all just find somewhere...
