Our furniture was supposed to be delivered on Saturday Jan 5. The store did not contact me about a delivery time. I did call the Memphis store to confirm that my furniture would be delivered. The very rude receptionist flat out said “I can’t help you, you have to go online.”
So I went online, the stated delivery time was between noon and 3pm. We waited and waited and waited. After 3pm the status changed to “on its way.” Still no phone call or contact from the company.
At 8pm, the delivery tracked still stated that it was “on the way.” They never showed, I never got a phone call or any other form of communication from Royal furniture. The people in the store refuse to answer the phone, AND their voicemail is constantly full.
ROYAL Furniture has my money and has not yet delivered my furniture. If you value your time, buy furniture elsewhere. Do not waste your time here.
Update: I spoke with the office. After being on hold for over 20 Minutes, they couldn’t find my paperwork. Thankfully, I had my copy. I gave them the information needed. Then they changed their excuse to “we attempted to call you but you didn’t respond to confirm the appointment.”
I have the call records for both mine and my husbands phones. They are both in excellent working order and we DO have our incoming/outgoing call logs. We were not contacted.
The delivery staff is fibbing the notes on their work orders. So now you are closed until Tuesday and I can’t get my order delivered until next week. I will continue to post updates until Royal Furniture makes good on the delivery for which we have paid in full.
UPDATE 1/8/19 - so yesterday, they finally delivered the couch pieces. The feet were incorrectly packed, so they did not complete piecing together my sectional. At least it's in the house... or most of it was. They were supposed to send a guy back out in the afternoon to complete the process. However, when I arrived home, the feet had been delivered. They were hung in plastic bags on my mailbox. As of 1/9/19, I am still awaiting them to correct the issue. However, the store manager has reassured me that our delivery fee will be refunded. Read moreI had several visits and interacted with majority of staff over a 4-month period as I was designing and picking furniture for an estate sized home. I was referred by others who designed luxury style homes and Airbnb’s. They mentioned Royal has great deals and also has stock or can order just about everything all other competitors have including high end stores. They specifically mentioned great service with management and various employees at the Summer Ave location. I often brought pictures and design book with detailed description of what I was looking for as I took time to meticulously pick furniture for every room. Staff was ALWAYS patient with me, would discuss options, and would pull up pictures and answer questions for items on the floor and not on the floor. They didn’t rush me and I always felt like a valued customer. The customer service was great and employees were friendly. You could tell everyone enjoyed their job and they seemed like a family which I could tell was a result of great store management as I interacted with the manager myself on occasion.
I was able to purchase furniture for the entire home at lower prices compared to same items with competitors. I compared with other stores including Ashley and furniture stores in the suburbs. Every competitor store I visited had higher priced and exact items Royal could obtain even if not on showroom floor. If I had bought at other stores same items, I would have only been able to purchase furniture for half the home versus the lower prices Royal had listed on their site. Sometimes the description or SKU #’s were different than competitors but staff were able to assist me to pull up items. Their delivery was the lowest compared with competitors and also included one set price for entire home which was not something offered by other companies. I have dealt with delivery companies on many occasions. With Royal, there was not one scratch or dent made during delivery process and there was no issues with the furniture or quality.

Read moreI went in December looking to buy a whole lot of new furniture for my house I had purchased. I got everything about $20,000 worth of furniture. I placed an order for a couch I had wanted that they did not have and said they’d have to make a new one. We told them there would be no one in the home since I had just bought it and wanted it furnished first. It arrived in February , like I said no one was living there yet we wanted everything furnished first. We didn’t move in until May and then realized the couch that took so long to get , had a hole in it and needed to be repaired. I called royal furniture and they sent me to AHM furniture to repair it. I made several appointments with AHM to come out and fix my couch. The first time they went they just took a look at it and said they’d be back. Then I had to make another appointment to get them out there and they never showed! I called and they told me that Royal Furniture told them not to come because they were looking into giving us a replacement couch. They told me to call Royal to confirm. I did just that, they sent me to customer service where no one answered! I called back to back for several days and they kept transferring me to customer service where no one answered. I then received a letter saying that the repair men told them that it was us who broke it and they couldn’t fix it. So I got tired of calling so I went up to the store today (August 11) and spoke to the manager. I told him what had happened and he told me he was gonna send me to customer service! You’re the manager … you could’ve helped… but okay! So I called customer service with the number he gave me. No response. I told him and all he told me to do was to write down my information.
