Tom's Drive-in: A Nostalgic Culinary Delight with a Minor Hiccup
From the moment I pulled into Tom's Drive-in, I knew I was in for a treat. This place captures the essence of what a drive-in experience should be, combining nostalgic vibes with modern culinary excellence. The menu, a delightful mix of classic drive-in fare and innovative creations, ensures there's something for everyone.
Service here is unmatched; the staff is friendly, welcoming, and goes above and beyond to make sure your visit is memorable. My order was taken promptly, and the food arrived hot and fresh, in what seemed like no time at all. The attention to detail in presentation, even for a drive-in, was a pleasant surprise.
Let's talk about the food - absolutely divine! I had the signature burger, which was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and just the right amount of messy. The fries? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with just the right sprinkle of salt. And the milkshake, a creamy, dreamy concoction that perfectly balanced sweetness and flavor, was the cherry on top of an already fantastic meal.
The ambiance of Tom's Drive-in adds so much to the experience. There's a warmth and authenticity here that's hard to find elsewhere. Sitting under the stars, enjoying incredible food, and soaking in the retro atmosphere, I couldn't help but feel a sense of connection to a simpler, joyous time.
However, I must note one area for improvement. On my recent visit, I found the men's room toilet to be in a less than ideal condition, appearing as though it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. This was a stark contrast to the otherwise impeccable standards maintained throughout the establishment.
In conclusion, Tom's Drive-in isn't just a place to eat; it's a destination. It's where you go to indulge in the comfort of classic American cuisine, served with love and a smile. The food, service, and overall experience are truly top-notch. While the restroom cleanliness issue was a minor letdown, it doesn't overshadow the many positives. I still highly recommend Tom's Drive-in – it's a near-perfect experience that you simply must try for yourself! With just a bit more attention to restroom maintenance, this place would...
Read moreVery poor coordination for the 65 cents anniversary event. We waited in line for over 30 mins to order just to find out that they "just ran out of buns" after we had placed our order. We were greeted but not told they ran out of buns, there were no signs, and no one telling costumers in drive thru that were waiting that they were running out. I would expect that if you notice you're low on supplies for an item you should proactively tell customers prior to running out. Get a sign out before you run out so people know whether they want to waste their time or not. I did ask to speak to a manager when we paid to let them know I thought they should be telling people and was curious when they ran out. I was informed they had been catching up on orders and just ran out "10 mins ago"... This poor young kid they have running the shop as management was left understaffed on an event day, and I'm sure he is not the one coordinating and ordering food supplies, or getting paid enough to be creating plans for handling this issue. Your logistics team should do better and when you put an event on like this, create plans for when you ultimately begin to run low so your employees are acting proactively instead of reactively to a stressful situation and environment and empower management to offer discounts for people who were inconvicenced. Waited 30 mins and weren't even offered a 10% discount or anything on the ice creams we still got but needed to go home and cook dinner now.
Disappointed! Do better! Not just for your customers but for...
Read moreI use my online account to complete my order of which it said I would be able to pick it up in 10 minutes. I pulled up to the store at exactly 10 minutes and got to the window 2 minutes later. Then after I was told to pull forward and Park and wait for another 2 minutes so that I can require catch up and a receipt that was readable. The disgruntled teen who brought out my food was frustrated apparently by something not sure if it was the fact that I wanted to receipt to prove that I ordered what I did or that he had to come all the way outside to get it to me which was their preference. I appreciate the aspect to fast food the service that those people provide but I still do expect customer service and appreciation that I'm patronizing their business. If that's not the case you need rather have me not come there I'd be happy to go to JD's or the service is Top Notch and the food is exceptional and I can easily justify the drive there. Who's ever in the kitchen is doing their job the food was delicious. Burgers were made exactly how we ordered them and I greatly...
