I keep updating my review for Casa Jimenez in Menifee. I also keep giving them a better and better review each time my husband and I dine there. Casa Jimenez in Menifee has become a go to spot for my husband and I. The staff at Casa Jimenez in Menifee has been very nice to my husband and I every time we have dined there, this is much appreciated. The food has been very good consistently. The restaurant also has a warm inviting atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. My husband and I would like to see Casa Jimenez in Menifee do well because they deserve to do well based on what I have described in my review.
My husband and I have been dining at Casa Jimenez in Menifee a few times since they have opened. Last night we ate there for dinner and I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos. The name of the dish was Dos Tacos De Carne Asada. I noticed a significant improvement in the Carne Asada. In fact, I think the Carne Asada I had last night was the best I’ve ever had. The first time my husband and I dined at Casa Jimenez, I had the Carne Asada burrito, but I didn’t notice the marination. The Carne Assad tacos I had last night were delicious and flavorful. Sometimes I like to try new things at restaurants, but I enjoyed these tacos so much, that I think I may have to order them every time. Also, the waitress that brought my husband the check was very sweet, I wish I knew her name. I think and hope Casa Jimenez in Menifee will be successful as long as the quality of the food and service...
Read moreFood poisoning review- We were here on Tuesday night and all ordered different items with different meats. The only item we had in common was the guacamole, which we ordered a large order for the table. My husband, mom, and myself all ended up with the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. We had to miss work for two days because we were so incredibly sick with throwing up. I called the restaurant today and spoke to Roger to make him aware that we got sick, to which he became very argumentative saying there’s no way that it’s was from them and that we can’t prove it. I told him it’s the only Meal we had all day where we all had an item that was similar. He continued to argue with me. I expressed to him again that I was just trying to make him aware that maybe that day the kitchen staff either used expired food or it wasn’t prepared properly, but either way we were sick from his establishment. He then goes on to tell me it’s not them and that there must be a stomach flu going around. It’s really sad that this owner didn’t care that his establishment made his customers sick and instead chose to argue. This is the last time we’ll ever go here, and so will be for the large ladies group that meets here. Please be cautious eating here, you don’t want to end up terribly sick...
Read moreI always believe that the essence of any great Mexican restaurant lies in the depth and richness of its salsa. My experience at Casa Jimenez was, to put it mildly, underwhelming in this department. The salsa tasted predominantly of tomatoes, lacking the fiery kick from chilies and the refreshing zest of cilantro – two staple elements I usually look for.
My adventurous palate led me to order their Menudo. I've had this dish in countless places, but the musky smell here was overpowering, to the point where I couldn't finish even half the bowl. Observing others in the restaurant, I noticed similar puzzled expressions, indicating I wasn't the only one taken aback.
I do appreciate our server's honesty in acknowledging the unusual aroma, and her assurance about the preparation process was somewhat comforting. However, I feel the situation warranted at least a gesture of goodwill, perhaps a discount or some other form of compensation, considering the dissatisfaction.
On a brighter note, I didn't get sick after the meal, and the staff were genuinely friendly, greeting us warmly upon entry. But when it comes to food, Casa Jimenez missed the mark for me. I hope others have a more...
