06/26/2023. Drive-thru. My wife and I make an order at the speaker. Dinner for the family. One item I ordered was 10 piece spicy chicken nuggets. When we drove up to the window, two of the women working were talking loud and acting unprofessional. According to the receipt, Karen was using the headset microphone and taking the drive-thru orders. She had colorful dreadlocks. The other woman that was even more unprofessional was Deija. She had dark brown dreadlocks. They were talking really loud, as if they were putting on a disrespectful show for the customers. Deija kept the attitude going, and Karen seemed to try and get her to behave properly. As we sat there watching and listening, Karen said something to Deija. Deija replied, "It's not pretty food! It's fast food!" She said this while looking into our truck, like looking for an audience. As we sat there in disbelief, Karen gave me our drinks. Then Deija gave me a single bag full of food. Three to four seconds went by as I just held the bag looking at her. She then said, "It's all there." She was done with me and walked away. She did not offer a customary farewell that is usually done at carry out/drive-thru restaurants, like, have a good night, or see you soon.
I pulled forward and my wife checked the food order. There were no chicken nuggets. I drove back around the building and parked. My wife said this was unacceptable and told me to take it back. I took all the food into the dining room counter and spoke with a young male employee. I told him that we were missing the nuggets, and that there was too much clowning around by the other employees. He apologized and got an order of nuggets. I took the food back out to the truck. My wife told me she was not going to eat the food prepared by the two women. I took the food back in to the counter and told the young man I wanted a refund. He said he would go get his manager. A couple minutes went by, and Deija came to the counter. She asked me if I got the chicken nuggets. I told that I had, but my wife and I didn't want to eat food prepared by someone that loudly proclaimed, "It's not pretty food! It's fast food!" She paused, and looked at me. I then asked her If I could get a refund. She said no because the manager was not there. I then told her to keep the food. I grabbed the receipt and left the place.
Such a disappointment. I've been pretty happy with that Wendy's food, and service from other employees.
"""""UPDATE""""" Management reached out to me and said they took care of the problem permanently. She offered me a refund and a free meal. I took the refund, and I still buy meals there. They do a great job when there's no "rotten apples"...

Then the Mgr came carrying 2 buckets of cleaning solution said good Morning and proceeded to help me very nice. Just after she took my money, she went grab my food. The biscuit was hot, she grabbed my fries, no gloves and she never washed her hands after handling the buckets. You know I was on my break. Cause I work Saturdays I took the food. I walked out because I was trying to say it in a way where it was nice that that was unsanitary for you as a manager to handle some buckets of whatever it is, then handle the money transaction, then grab the food, no, the biscuit was different, it was wrapped in, you know the. Luminum foil or with everybody use but the fries she had to handle the fries so I know at some point they touched the fries. Cause they can't help it when you scoop them up and put them in there. And then place them in the bag so I went back. I told her I was trying to explain it without. You know putting on a blast in front of everybody that I hate you can't do that. I need another water fries. There was no issue, but as a manager. You should know better than that. And you should teach that because it's sanitation. It's too much stuff going on and you as a manager. That handle food every day should be not only practicing it but teaching it to your...

"We were asked to pull up to wait for order (Not the problem), The time of wait was a problem along with being told by the (LOD) On Duty Management to get out our vehicles to grab our food from her at the side door of the establishment (Wendy's Restaurant near Drive Through Window) as our vehicles was 2-3 steps away (Exactly where we were asked to pull forward to from the drive through window for there reasons unannounced to us)." As we insisted she completely commit to her customer service she Rudely declined & Repeatedly Gestured for one of us to fetch our meals with an extreme Attitude as well Totally disregarding any reason we may not be able (Per Reason one would use a drive through) to get out of our vehicle. We asked for the Manager on duty and any one above her to make a formal complaint & she said they were not here as she is the manager. (But gave her name with Disrespect & her Supervisors Name with Disdain) then walked away with a Condescending Have a great day, after we voiced we will be filing a report of our experience & her Professionalism. (We will provide the names to Her officials & or Corporate Office...
