The food. Once every millenia the heavens open and out comes a perfect meal. One such meal is Celia's Expresso Burrito. First bite I felt an inexplicable lightness come over me. Halfway through I almost started to run out of steam because there was so much perfection on the plate, but I shuddered at the thought of disgracing such a meal by later reheating it in a microwave—there are times in your life when you just know what you have to do and this was one of them. Times when you can either dust off and do your duty or slink away with your head low and know that you've brought eternal shame to yourself. So I steeled my nerves and went to town. I can only compare the experience to what it must feel to have been starving and suddenly find deliverance in the form of an ambrosia which heals both body and spirit. Thank you thank you thank you for blessing my life tonight. God willing I will be back at the soonest opportunity 🙏
The service: Bless Jocelyn. Amazing service, thank you so much. You are a phenomenal employee, made us feel so at home 🙏🙏🙏

Read moreI don't know what all those 2 1/2 -star naggers compare Celia's to, but this restaurant deserves a solid 4. Celia's menu is exhausting to read, 5 + pages of all the favorites in all imaginable combinations. I craved Carne Asada, but couldn't pass on my favorite Chile Reyenos. They have a combo plate. I was not disappointed. The plate was immense, one enchilada filled with carne asada, smothered in red sauce and a perfectly battered reyenos, filled with cheese that spilled into the red sauce with capers. Oh my God! This reminded me of my ex mother-in-law's cooking. Yes, tasted homemade, full fat cheese, perfectly refried beans rice and all. I couldn't finish the plate. All for $18. I live in Oakland. $12 gets you quarter of grilled artichoke with a squirt of a "signature" sauce. Is this in Menlo Park, California? One of the most affluent towns in the world? Enough said? Bon appetit! Oh, try their agave Margarita - smashingly refreshing and surprisingly strong. And yes, try not to polish all that salsa you...
Read moreBring your appetite! Delicious and creative Mexican cuisine. Appealing atmosphere. Super cozy and plush booths to sit and feast in. Colorful decor and great service. Update: Came back again...... While indulging on the thin and crispy tortilla chips with the 'not too spicy' house salsa, I enjoyed Celia's signature 'Classic Margarita'. I ordered the Tostada Salad. It came complete with a crunchy 10 inch tostada shell topped with refried beans, melted cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, avacado and a super mild and tasty salsa. Service is always good. Price is affordable. If you're in Menlo Park and craving Mexican food, don't pass...
