The lobby and room were very nice. However, the quality of service was terrible. We booked a room block with Home2 for our wedding, and the service was bad from the beginning. To start, the sales rep repeatedly spelled our names wrong (and wrote down completely wrong names altogether). The contract had the wrong names on it, and the web link had our last name spelled wrong. Later, when we tried to book our own suite, the sales rep gave us a rate $20 higher than we had agreed on in the contract ($167 as opposed to $149). That was eventually fixed, but I was later speaking with a friend who booked with Home2 who was initially offered $190, but who had noticed a rate drop and ended up getting the room for $120. I called to get a rate adjustment as well, and the woman I spoke with was extremely rude and condescending. She eventually ended up giving me a room for $103. I have no idea where all the different rates came from, and she refused to give me an explanation. On our wedding day, I called reservations to inform them that we would be checking in late and they refused to make a note of it because they had written down the incorrect phone number, so they could not "verify my information." They also told me that if they did not make a note of the late check-in (which required verification of my information), the reservation would be canceled if I checked in late. They refused to accept any other forms of verification, like my confirmation number or email. They ended up transferring me to reception, who was very free with the information and ended up making a note, fortunately. We ended up having no further issues checking in. The last straw, however, was finding our that they had kicked my husband's family out of the hotel after they paid for it AND even called the police on them. Apparently, the hotel was confused about the names and double booked his family, and they refused to give them the rooms they had already paid for. This happened a week ago, and there are still potential charges on their cards that have yet to be refunded (we are working on that now). My mother-in-law has limited English proficiency, and the receptionist was very rude to her, and even implied that she is stupid. As much as I hate to say it, I can't believe this would have happened to a White American family. I am beyond disappointed with Home2 suites and will never use their or any affiliated...
Read moreThis is a nice hotel with clean rooms. The kitchenette included an apartment size fridge, dishwasher, microwave and kitchen sink and was stocked with glasses, bowls, silverware etc. We had a king suite and the bed was very comfortable and had lots of big fluffy pillows. They have blackout shades and an easy to control termpersture system. The room had a table you can roll out to eat at and a desk and ergonomic chair. The tv was about 55 inches and easy to use. The king suite includes a pull out couch that wasn’t squeaky and was surprisingly comfortable. A thick curtain was suspended from the ceiling to pull across creating some privacy between the bed and the pull out couch. You could still view the tv from either side. All furniture is practical and modern. Lots of drawers and shelves to store items as well as a small closet with a curtain to hide items in it. This is a pet friendly hotel. Be aware of that if you have allergies. We like pets but we were not happy that we were all awoken from our sleep with the ferocious barking of 2 very large and loud dogs for about 30 minutes straight at 7:30 in the morning. There should be some sort of rule against that! These dogs were about 8 rooms down from usI I never heard noises from above me so the building seems somewhat soundproof from footsteps except for the DOGS!! The sliding door to the bathroom is so heavy that it gains momentum while closing it and slams into the doorframe. The doors to the rooms were also extremely heavy and when they closed, the entire hotel shook. I was afraid that the king studio suite would be small for my family but it very comfortably fit one adult and 3 children. We could have fit one more person. We were alerted at check in that there was limited housekeeping on the weekend but asked what items I might need (towels). Upon arrival, the front desk clerk asked what brought us to town and we responded with “a funeral” and immediately upon hearing that, a second clerk came over and told us that they would give us a reduced rate which I wasn’t expected but really appreciated. If the dogs would stop barking (they don’t) I would give it 5 stars. I can only imagine how many other families with small children are extremely...
Read moreChecked into the hotel late afternoon, check in was easy and room was on 4th floor. Walked in to the room and as soon as I closed the door there was a terrible smell. I couldn’t describe the smell, but it was atrocious. I thought, hmmm maybe it will go away. I checked out of that room the very next day and was put in a different room down the hall. Lucky no problems with the new room. Found out through housekeeping that room that smelled so bad had been like that for a while. They closed the room off now . So on to better things lol. Breakfast is Meh, nothing great. All frozen breakfast sandwiches in morning, basic food, cereal, toast, yogurt, waffles, etc etc. it will do, but if you can go out for breakfast or cook breakfast in your room you’ll be better off.|My room is clean, bed sleeps well, pillows a little hard. Staff is very nice. In door Pool was closed , but reopened later the next day. Water in pool looks dark in color, hopefully they will get it looking better. I could see the indoor pool across at a different hotel and their pool was a beautiful blue . Elevator is very slow. They have two, but one is broken. They have a laundry onsite so you can wash your clothes, front desk gave me two small boxes of laundry soap, washing and drying cost per machine $2.00. Well the next week I was going to wash again and went to front desk to get washing soap and girl told me it would be $2.00 per box. I was like what, I wasn’t charged last week and now you want to charge me. It was upsetting to me, one week it’s this way and the next you have to pay. Front desk girl spoken with her GM and he didn’t even have the courtesy to come out and speak with me. Anyway, I paid for the two boxes and went on my merry way. Last day there, I had a late check out. When I came back to the hotel, I went up to grab my luggage and I couldn’t get in my room, they had locked me out. Walked back to the front desk and she said, oh it probably locked you out because check out is 11:00, yes I know that, but I had a 1:00 check out. She took my key card and re activate my key. Walked back and door won’t open. I was pissed. Went back down and she was confused, she was like I’ll just go up with you and open it. What a joke is...
