It's Sunday night. My family is hanging out watching some football when my Dad suggests we order pizza. We weren't feeling fast food pizzas like dominos, we wanted something homemade. After some brainstorming we remembered Rosati's, the beaming pride and joy of the Menomonee Falls area. We ordered 2 pizzas and a side of bread sticks. Excited for a scrumptious meal, we anxiously wait our driver's arrival. And we wait. And wait some more. An hour and a half goes by before the driver calls us telling us he can't find out house, yada yada yada. We end up having to walk to his car to retrieve the order. Oh well, not a huge deal. We were all stoked to ingest the homemade quality and were more than willing to overlook the late and inaccurate arrival. Then it happened. The deep dish was a dry, lifeless and utterly sauceless creation. A small amount of cheese was speculated to be on the bottom layer but could not be confirmed. The crust was a hard dry wonder of science only comparable to an ancient Egyptian mummy wrapping. Then we move onto the white pizza we ordered with chicken spinach and onions. It showed up with a different story however. This pizza had tomatoes and some sort of fishy substance we couldn't identify. To its credit it did have chicken, however this offering was so dry my poor brother was reminded of dog food by it with audible disgust. He even took a piece from the center and bit into it only to reveal that there was no sauce to be found on the pizza. The cheese sticks were mediocre at best. In fact I am eating some reheated for lunch right now (the white pizza was thrown out because no one could stomach it). Even despite it's competence at preventing starvation, it's positive qualities end right there. The outer layer of the sticks lacked both cheese and sauce, fueling our discontent. My point of writing this is as follows. When you charge a premium for your homemade pizza, it has to stand out from the rest of the fast food delivery choices on the market. When your pizza is not even as good as pizza hut's, I begin to question how your business is still open to begin with. How has this place survived the abundance of pizza stores in the Menomonee Falls area? The order exceeded 70 dollars yet failed to meet the quality standards of its far cheaper fast food counterpart. So I sit here today and I am appalled. As I chew the remainder of the dry deep dish crust, I am only reminded of the squandering of my family's money and time. It wasn't that good probably...
Read more12/24/2023 So tonight I ordered and was actually EXCITED! I got multiple times a week! I’ve never sent anyone else to pick it up it’s always me. Well tonight my son and daughter picked up and they didn’t check the order. I get it and the pizza is WRONG! I’m also missing the extra sauce that I PAID for! So I call and the guy doesn’t care! He first tells me “I read ur order back”. Well a monster doesn’t have banana peppers on it. What I ordered was the monster and he said “it comes with all the meats and veggies”. Which I told him no olives and no banana peppers! So reading it back I can assume their screen is the same as the receipt that says NO BLACK OLIVES NO GREEN OLIVES ADD BANANA PEPPERS. If it’s read back the same as the receipt give how people hear others over the phone it is very simple to not hear ADD banana peppers add when u hear banana peppers to assume it’s to not be added but to be NO BANANA PEPPERS! I also did not receive the extra sauce which they charge for! Which is fine BUT when I called the guy first said “I read it back to u”. Then it was “we r actually closed”. This was EXACTLY 9pm. Then it was “oh we r all out of cheese”. The fact that this is one excuse after another is frustrating especially for a 27 dollar pizza!!! Which I’m allergic to banana peppers so how am I supposed to pick it off or anything else! The guy says “let me talk to my manager and I will call u back in 5 minutes”. It’s 20 minutes later and now no one is answering the phone!!! How is this possible! He didn’t want to do anything to correct or fix this issue! I expect MORE from them as 27 for a SMALL is a lot of money but worth it NORMALLY! Please address and FIX this issue!u went from 5 starts all the way down!
Had the calzone with extra cheese and mushrooms. Was one of the best I have ever had and I’ve been coast to coast north and south! Definitely recommend! Will be trying the pizza and pasta!!!
Cheesecake
I’m editing to include the pizza!!! So I get the 2 slices for 7 bucks for my son and I. The BEST pizza we have had EVER!!! I’ve had Chicago pizza and New York pizza! This is a thinner crust on the bottom which is CRISP! Then the crust is thick! So not a true thin crust but super tasty!!! The lunch special which goes until 5pm is 2 slices or a slice and a 20 oz drink for 7 bucks. My son now wants it 3...
Read moreAverage pizza. nothing amazing about it, but no big issues either.
It came with lots of cheese. More than most places. This is it's biggest pro. The sausage was very good. So was the pepperoni.
The sauce was just OK. Not overly Italian spice flavored, but not much more than tomato flavored either. It had a few chunks in it, which I do not like, but not too many and not too big. I like a sweeter sauce. So this one was just OK. I like that is is not overwhelming in Italian spices.
The crust was over cooked to me. I am picky about my crust, and most people would have found it just right. I like mine a bit softer and am OK with "soggy" as I prefer that to this browned crust. The edge was just right, but the bottom was too brown. It also seemed like they use cornmeal to keep it from sticking. I despise cornmeal on the bottom of my breads. It is like sand falling off and getting everywhere.
The mushrooms were too small and they were everywhere. I hate mushrooms, but was eating with a group. Normally I can pick them off. Not this time. The thick cheese was a downfall on this one. The dirt pieces, mushrooms live in dirt with no sunlight and are therefore just dirt, were embedded deeply into the cheese making it impossible to get them off.
The onions were too strong flavored and harsh. They were big pieces and had skins making them stringy. I consider them to be low quality onions. Afterwards I kept tasting onions in my mouth. Way too strong.
I would eat their pizza again if others want to order as a group, but will not go there or...
