I have ordered from this location several times before without much issue. However yesterday I was very disappointed. The website wasn’t working- this is normally how I order. Okay, fine, I called in over the phone to have delivered at the hospital where I work. When I asked for bottled water, they told me that I could not order this as part of the combo? Not sure exactly why. Okay fine I’ll have a sprite. They said bottled Sprite, I said no, just a fountain soda is fine. I ordered two combos, one for myself and one for another nurse. They said they would send out for delivery soon. They did not give me a time nor tell me that I needed to be at the door when it was delivered. About 40 minutes later I walk down to the entrance where I instructed them to bring food (where they have always left food in the past, as well as for the many other staff that order from Jimmy John’s. This is also at least a quarter mile from the department I work in) It is not there, and the staff person at the door tells me that I missed them by about 5 minutes- that the delivery guy would not leave my order unless he was handing it to me. I called the store and after some fuss they say they will bring it back and leave it. Great. Another 30 minutes and I walk back down. No drinks. Call again. They will be back with the drinks. Another 30 minutes and I walk back down for my drinks. It’s a fountain coke and a bottled sprite- I had asked for a fountain sprite. They charged me extra for the bottled sprite that I specifically said I wanted to be a fountain sprite. Super frustrating- Jimmy John’s is supposed to be fast and definitely not...
Read morePlaced my order at 5:23 and had a long drive so figured it'd be done when I got there... nope. Said they only had one sandwich maker and they had a few orders ahead of me so they're busy... fine. Proceed to wait for 10 minutes with not a word of acknowledgement until they ask if I ordered. I tell them my name and they say they're working on it "right now". More minutes go by and a customer comes in and orders. She gets her food before mine somehow. What. Still no food. The manager comes back from his break and they exchange dialogue and stand around idly for a bit until finally the SAME PERSON who asked me if I had an order asks me AGAIN. ??? Yes, I have an order and you said you were working on it? Few more minutes go by... "oh, your order is right here." Not at the hand off plane but just sitting there, chilling. They finally give me my food but not without the additional cherry on top that they don't have the chip flavor i wanted. Shouldn't that be represented in some way on the app???
All told, 2 subs... 40 minute wait. And its not even the wait time that bothered me as much as the complete and utter lack of communication or sympathy. This place is incompetent....
Read moreTried JJ's again after a freaky slow experience a couple months ago. Placed an online order at 1:35 scheduled "as soon as possible", got a notification it was ready for pickup at 2:00. I went in and asked for pickup. The guy got irritated and said I placed it for 2:15 so it would be ready at 2:15 even though I just got a notification saying it was ready and I didn't schedule it for 2:15. Waited until 2:15 and he hands me someone else's order. I gave it back and said this isn't mine. He finds my box sitting behind the counter which had been ready since I got there, he tossed it on the counter and walked away. Maybe they should utilize the pickup shelf they had sitting by the door so annoying customers don't have to ask annoying questions like can I have my order you notified me was ready?
I got an email from my previous review from the GM Jason saying he'd look up my order and check it out, but nothing ever happened after that. He says it's the busiest store in the Midwest and isn't going anywhere anytime soon, which I guess means they don't mind collecting 1 star reviews.
