I’ve been to Teazzi in Sunnyvale, so I was super excited to visit the new location in Seattle/Mercer Island. This location is unfortunately not my favorite. The drinks are good but the staff are not great at all.
I’ve been to this location 3 times. The first time, we ordered through Snackpass and the drinks were great! No issues with the parking or the staff.
The second time we ordered 2 peach milk teas from snackpass and one drink was missing peach jam. We didn’t realize until we went back to Seattle, so we weren’t able to drive back and exchange it, especially since we drove out to Mercer to pick it up. After this encounter, I knew for future ones I would have to check my drinks to make sure they were correct.
I revisited again today and it was the worst service I have ever experienced at a boba store. We ordered again through Snackpass and got 2 peach milk teas with boba at 2:30pm. It said it would be ready at 2:45pm. We had to drive out to Mercer Island, so we got there at 3pm. Our drinks were not ready, even though Snackpass notified me that it was ready for pickup. When we asked the staff, the drinks were super behind in the queue (which was so weird because it had been 30 minutes) and they had to ask around — no one knew what was going on (super disorganized). My partner and I have worked in food, so we are very familiar with the food delivery/pick-up services. If your staff is unable to handle the platforms, either turn it off or change the pickup time.
Finally, someone told us they ran out of boba and it would take 15 minutes. They said they would give us 2 drinks since we were told it was done but it wasn’t ready. We waited another 15 minutes for the boba and around 3:20 checked in again and finally got our drinks. Upon getting the drinks, only 1 drink had boba. This was not clearly stated to me nor did the staff propose picking another option of topping, since we had stated we would wait the 15 minutes for the boba.
I went back into the store and asked the staff why only 1 drink had boba topping, even though we paid for 2 boba add-ons. She told me that they ran out of boba and it would be another 8 minutes. She said that’s why she provided us with an additional 2 comp’d drinks. The staff had never clarified that the two drinks were because only 1 drink would come with boba and we were already waiting for the boba. From the jump, the staff should have made it clear on how long the boba would take — at that point we already waited almost 30 minutes.
The staff here is extremely unprofessional and I was super disappointed, since I really loved Teazzi in Norcal. I would honestly only visit again by ordering in person or if the manager addresses this issue with their staff. This is a franchise, so they should be upholding the standards and quality of the...
Read moreExcited to have another boba place on the island! However, a couple things and for reference, at boba shops I get 25% or 30% sweetness, whichever is the lowest added sugar.
I got the strawberry four seasons milk tea with 0% sugar and boba but not only was it was way too sweet to drink, but almost 1/3 of the cup was boba—way too much. In the beginning before I fully mixed the drink, I could taste the tea and it felt too sweet but durable and I thought the ice melting would help. It did not. After the jam fully mixed in not 5 minutes later, it overpowered everything else and because of that I could barely taste the tea, just pure strawberry jam. I ended up making some green tea at home and adding it to dilute the sugar.
Very unfortunate because I had accounted for the extra sweetness the strawberry jam would bring since I tried the drink my brother got which was the four seasons milk tea with boba and 0% sugar. For that one, 0% sweet was just right because of the sweetened boba.
I wish I took a photo of my drink but I didn’t. Instead, to show an example and my recommendation, I took a photo off Google to demonstrate the drink I was given and recommend a better level. The boba was up around the purple line indicated and the strawberry jam was also almost double the layer of the photo. The boba will displace the jam so I did account for that. Recommendation: less boba, less jam
I know the shop just opened recently so you guys are still adjusting things but as a former bobarista, you need to try the drinks you make to know you’re not adding too much.
Rated 4/5 because from what tea I could taste, as long as you make the adjustments the drink will taste fine. Since my drink included jam unlike the others on the menu, I think it was also an exception considering my brother’s...
Read moreHey there! I recently discovered Teazzi and just had to share how much I loved it. The moment I walked in, I was struck by how bright and open the space feels—it’s the kind of place you can really relax in. They let you customize your drink down to the ice and sugar levels, which is perfect if you’re picky about sweetness. For someone like me who prefers a strong tea flavor without it being too sugary, going with 30% sugar is the sweet spot. It still tastes rich and full-bodied but never cloying.
Now, about the tofu pudding—seriously, don’t skip it. I ordered the Amber Oolong Milk Tea with tea jelly and tofu pudding, asked for no ice and 30% sugar, and it blew me away. The tofu pudding was so smooth and creamy, it felt like a little dessert nestled in my drink. The oolong was fragrant and robust, and the tea jelly added a fun, chewy twist. Every sip was perfectly balanced.
If you’re the kind of person who loves a bold, aromatic tea, Teazzi is your spot. I’m already planning my next visit to try something new, but honestly, that Amber Oolong with tofu pudding might become my go-to. Give it a try—you won’t be...
