I’ve worked in restaurants and with food for over 20 years and I have never had a worse meal. My fiancée ordered the bloomin bread which is baked bread with cheese bacon and onion with a dipping sauce. The bread was cold in the center and not crisp at all, cheese which was melted but cold(I’m not sure how you pull that off) and the most bland sauce ever. At this stage in our meal I started to get concerned but figured hey sometimes things get over looked. Out came my bowl of chowder which wasn’t the best but not the worst either, while we waited my fiancee is telling me she already wants to leave and I should have listened to her. Her entree the pot roast was like warm over worked mash potatoes, her veg was raw and cold and made no sense as far as the concept of a pot roast dish. My entree the mixed grill was worse, over worked potato’s that were cold, grilled shrimp with grill marks but also cold, raw asparagus but had grill marks and the sausage and steak were both cold and I’m not even sure if they were cooked but had grill marks on them. Our server Quincy was very sweet and tried to offer us a free dessert but at this point my fiancée is already outside and I just wanted to be out of the situation all together. Maybe if was a bad night, maybe they were under staffed maybe the kitchen was slammed doing the big ticket tables that were sat all around us, all I know is I would never come back to Camp and if anyone asks me to recommend a place I’m telling them to go anywhere but Camp, as my fiancée said “ Camp...

This used to be my favorite restaurant in the area, but either I've been getting unlucky or it has gone downhill the last couple years.

I was solo this time and dined at the bar on a Tuesday night. I ordered a Common Man Ale (which was good) and the buttermilk chicken. I've had the buttermilk chicken in the past and it is used to be great. However it came out and I couldn't believe how small of a portion it was and also very little mashed potatoes. The flavor was good but the chicken was a little chewy.

The first time I came I remember the portion being at least double the size of what I received. A patron at the bar a few seats down also got it and their portion seemed a lot bigger so maybe I just got unlucky with what they gave me?

It was quite busy at the bar and only 1 bartender (who did her best) and it took awhile to pay so I just gave the bartender my card as I waited 5+ minutes already. The bill rang up at $37.96. Not sure how it was that expensive, the Chicken is $23.99 and I'm guessing the beer can't be more than $10? With the 8.5% meal tax it seems like I was overcharged $2-$3. Not a big deal but never got the details of the bill, unless the beer is $12 I was definitely overcharged.

Anyways I actually left the restaurant hungry which is a failure of a place serving "comfort food". Maybe I'll try it again in a year or so and see if they improve, but with so many good options within 10-15 minutes I will generally avoid it...

Tried this restaurant on our way to N. Conway. Met by the host and hostess at the door. Very nice people. We were immediately sat due to the early dinner time. The restaurant was clean and Covid compliant.

Had some drinks. I tried the Malbec...tasty. They have Tito's Vodka on tap here!! My significant other tried the Tito's Black Raspberry Lemonade cocktail at the servers recommendation...it was excellent. Sweet sour and smooth.

Our selection for apps were the New Endland Clam Chowder and Steak Chili. Both were excellent.

So they served me the wrong dinner. I asked for the Fish & Chips and knew something was amiss when the plate had mashed potatoes.

All was good. Turned I had gotten the Camps Famous Buttermilk Chicken. It was very good. The spiced apples on top and the Gouda cheese sauce a great accompaniment. The mashes potatoes were creamy smooth with zucchini, summer squash and onion slices on top...great mix

My other had the Grilled Bourbon Marinated Steak tips. The sweet tater tot mashed/kielbasa hash was a bit different...if you to be adventurous. They were kind mushy. Not really a hash.

No dessert...to full.

BTW...the Fish & Chips dinner I ordered that never showed up. They made me a fresh one to go, packed it up & then took its cost off the bill for our inconvenience...great manager that made that decision. What a bonus.

Try this place out. Nice New England "camp" decor...check out the canoe glass...

We came on a Saturday night, during July 4th weekend, and got a table no problem. The place was empty. We both ordered a Maine Squeeze (blueberry vodka, muddled blueberries, and lemonade) to start. It was delicious. My second drink was a Rum Runner, which was not from a jug, it’s was made fresh right in front of me. We ordered a deviled eggs app, which were creamy and delicious and so were the complimentary biscuits. For entrees, we each got the chicken sandwich: crispy, which a slaw on top, and a tangy BBQ sauce. Perfection. The service was great. The food was great. 10/5 will go back. ~~~~~~~~~~~ I returned today with family. Bartender Heather was perfect. Personable, knowledgeable, made some great recommendations to us. We had two pot roasts, two steaks, and a buttermilk chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. You should 100% go

Wow! I hope this isn't an insult but this place would make a super strong showing in the Southern California foodie landscape. Boneless baby back ribs? Boneless buttermilk fried chicken? The book says booring, but... Tender, savory, depth of flavor, crazy good unique fries, and an overall awesome surprise to this jaded foodie who was wishing for Shabu after 2 weeks in the NorthEast. FYI - the Flatbread and S'Mores were also wonderful surprises. I will think of this place fondly next time I'm at some disappointing foodie place back home and wish I was back in Meredith, NH.
