IF I COULD GIVE LESS THAN ONE STAR I WOULD. Me and my girlfriend rented jet skis this past summer as we usually do and decided to go to Meredith Marina this year. Upon picking up the jet ski, we immediately noticed that the jet ski was years old, and already very beat up. There was a young kid who “inspected” our jet ski and didn’t know anything about the jet ski as it was his second day on the job. However, the workers assured us that it was fine and we took the jet ski without much thought. It was an unusually rough day on the water and we were banging on the waves the entire day from the roughness of the lake. Due to this, and only to this, we arrived with a hole on the bottom of the jet ski that was resulting in water coming through. This was due to the roughness of the waves and the condition of the 20 year old jet ski, as we didn’t hit anything and know the lake very well. Although we assured them of this, they refused to believe that rough waves on an old jet ski could cause this damage. After a simple google search, we found that this can absolutely hurt the jet ski and cause breaks and holes can form. They did not care about anything we had to say and came out with a bill of $1700 with no explanation of how that cost was calculated. The workers could not care less and were quite rude in the process as well adding insult to injury. We refused to pay this ridiculous charge and disputed it with our credit card company where we were luckily won the dispute and were not forced to pay this random amount. Please do yourself the favor of choosing another marina around the area as we have had nothing but great things to say about every single other marina. Although this may be the “cheapest rentals” on the lake, you will end up spending much more on their beat up jet skis that they will give you than getting a new and proper jet ski rental from any other...

Office, yard, and service personnel have consistently been professional, efficient, and friendly. I like them. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the owner. Over the last nine years, I have paid more than $30,000 to the Marina for various services; I have also issued handsome tips to a dozen or so staff members - close to $1k in total. I've been a good customer, and the staff will agree. Nonetheless, the owner has decided to discriminate against me personally, refusing to launch my boat this year (as the marina has done for the last nine years), and instructed his staff to not communicate with me (simply because my wife serves on the Yacht Club Board (which owns some of the property that the marina uses). He has created a culture of toxicity that has discolored yacht club member's boating experience, and in this case, has created challenges for me at a time that I'm fighting terminal cancer and just want to get out on the lake. In the spirit of representing ALL the members' interests, the Board is pushing back on the owner's absence of good faith communication regarding the alteration of property that affects members' property and liabilities thereto. I had to have another private company come in and provide summer launch services at great expense to me. We visited Meredith Marina to look at several Pontoon boats after having researched several style boats over the last 2 years. We met with Travis Williams, the General Manager, who showed us several that were for sale. He made the process very easy as he answered all of our questions, demonstrated several features on each boat, explained the valet process for Meredith and gave us a great deal on the boat and trailer. We purchased a 2021 SweetWater 24' Triple Pontoon boat. Travis took us out for a "test drive" before the purchase to make sure we liked it on the water. He also took us out, after our purchase, to go over all of the specific features of our model as well as a quick chat about the lake and coming in and out of the Marina area. We consider this a significant investment and we would highly recommend Meredith Marina if you are shopping for a boat. Everyone has been awesome to deal with, including the young ladies at the front counter/store area and at the gas pumps and the yard staff is awesome and quick to help with getting the cover on/off and ensuring that we launch and return safely.
