I wanted to find more reasons to be upset about my service and experience but after I got my food, the quality and freshness of it quelled the dragon within me.
I ordered a chicken thyme plate with fries and hummus. Two pita breads are also included. For 14$ this is a deal of a meal for two people, one if you're a gym rat.
I had to wait a while, first to get my order taken, and second for my food. It was 25 minutes and the place wasn't that busy. But when I took my pita bread out of the bag, it was still steaming in the little baggie it comes in. I think they make their own. I can't believe it, this is amazing bread.
You're given a lot of hummus, and the fries are thin and crispy, lots of crunch but maybe half as thick as you'd expect a fry to be. They season them with paprika and some other spices. They're good finger(not fork) food.
The chicken was perfectly seasoned, lots of spices(it doesn't look like some naked steamed chicken you'd get at other restaurants), and not dry whatsoever.
The rice is cooked to perfection, individual grains are distinguishable. The small side of garlic jello is a nice addition I can add to improve the flavor complexity of any bite.
Yes it maybe took 25 minutes but I'm not upset, this is home cooked and the pita seems freshly made (I still can't believe it)
I'm still a bit bitter about the cost of addons. Drinks and desserts. The biscoff cheesecake is wonderful. But it's 5$, so was the yogurt milk drink I got aswell.
I know it's 2024 and inflation is rampant in everyday life, but I still should not have to pay 5$ for a milk based yogurt drink. The healthy alternative to soft drinks should not be unattainable to those who need it most. Make it a fair price like 2.99 and maybe I'll buy it again.
Also would like to see malt beverages with plain non-fruity non sugary flavors.
I paid 25$ and I only finished 40% of the food. Can I get a meal deal with lots of variety like I ordered above, but for 7-10$? Tiny cheesecake, smaller portion of rice and chicken, smaller fries, one pita. Then I'd eat...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Bread Bites, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family.
The menu offered a fantastic variety of Mediterranean dishes, and I was excited to try a bit of everything. I started with the Manaqeesh Zaatar—a perfectly baked flatbread topped with a blend of herbs and spices that was simply delicious. The Falafel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. The Hummos and Baba Ghanouj were both creamy and rich, the perfect accompaniment to the fresh pita bread. The Labneh was smooth and tangy, a delightful treat that I couldn’t get enough of.
The highlight of the meal, however, was the Chicken Shawerma. The chicken was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was packed with that authentic shawerma flavor that transported me straight to the heart of the Mediterranean.
Not only was the food incredible, but the service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It’s clear that they take great pride in both their food and their customer service.
Overall, Bread Bites offers an authentic taste of the Mediterranean with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a genuine and delightful...
Read moreGreat place. We decided to go there on a whim based on reviews and we were not disappointed. We have been back now 4 times. I've almost had everything on the menu. 2 more times and I think I'll have it covered.
I personally really like the Sojuk pie. I never had it before I went there, but I've had 3 of them so far! Pictured is the pie, kibbie bites, fries, and shawarma.
Hand cut fries. What can I say? Hand cut fries are always great. The shawarma is lightly seasoned. My girlfriend gets it every time we go. The kibbie bites are interesting. It has a fried outer cracked wheat shell that gives way to a spiced beef/onion inside mix. I've only had them once, but I've thought about them several times since.
We have also tried their desserts. The Maha Melting bites are kind of like a coffee cake with a slight cinnamon note. The lady fingers are absolutely great. These are some of the best cashew based treats I've had. Really good stuff. The flaky layers melt in your mouth.
The staff always are friendly and have no problems if you have a custom order like no onions or if you would like to have all of your shawarma ingredients separate to go so you can build it at home fresh.
They are tucked in the corner, but if you are on the fence on where to go, give this place a try. I assume when it gets warm and the pandemic dies down this place...
