Kaiyo Sushi is an absolute gem! We were there on Friday January 10th and from the moment you walk in, the welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for a great dining experience. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between vibrant and relaxing, making it an ideal spot for any occasion.

The food is, of course, the star of the show. Every dish is crafted with care and packed with fresh, bold flavors that keep you coming back for more. Whether you’re a fan of traditional sushi or inventive rolls, there’s something on the menu for everyone.

Seems overpriced for the limited selection. Other local sushi places seem to have a larger sushi menu with more variety. Servers weren't very attentive but seemed new and were nice. I asked for no spicy mayo but they clearly messed up & it looked like they just wiped it off the top of my roll and brought it out with no word (you could also see at the bottom of the roll on the plate where the sauce still was from being poured at the same time as another roll on the plate). For the price, not worth having an order messed up & no one acknowledge it - just try to hide it. I have a few food sensitivities, so accidentally getting certain ingredients I try to avoid can definitely cause reactions & discomfort so wish they would have addressed it for a discount or just...

I am a die hard sushi fan and for years and I’ve had a favorite restaurant in town. Well, the time has come…. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I have found a new sushi restaurant that I love! You must try KAIYÕ on Marsh Road in Okemos. (5100 Marsh Rd Suite #A1) The food is fresh, authentic and perfectly prepared. The menu is quite impressive. They have everything you could possibly want. The staff are absolutely fabulous! Maria, the Manager and Sam the Sushi Manager went out of their way to make our dining experience top-notch.
