Château Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Meridian Charter Township

4 stars because I love supporting local and small businesses, and the vibes are great! But tbh drinks are hit or miss 😔 I usually get an oatmilk mocha and most times it's pretty good! But with the most recent order, I could hear the barista submerging the steam wand into the milk way too early, resulting in a loud screaching noise and no microfoam. I looked over, hoping it wasn't my drink, and watched the two on bar consult each other with a confused look on their face (they paused steaming after the initial screech, then turned the steam wand back on and kept going). The mistake was hidden in a to-go cup when I ordered for here, but I had to open the lid to ensure it was mine- I'm currently deaf in one ear and wasn't expecting a to go cup, but there was no one else waiting on drinks. I'm going to keep returning because I like the environment (and veggie bagel hehe) and hope this feedback isn't disparaging but helpful to the learning baristas! Here's hoping my next latte is better (or my social anxiety doesn't get the better of me and I'm confident enough to ask for...

Tried out this new coffee shop for the first time this week. I ordered one of the special valentine hot lattes’s offered- a small “UR cute”. It was very tasty and served in a cute mug. I appreciate real dishes used for dine-in.

I also ordered the bagel breakfast sandwich. It came out very hot! But, I like my food burning so it was really good. I paid about $14 total for both items. The coffee was very reasonably priced.

A few housekeeping items: I do feel they needed another trash can/place to put dirty dishes. There was only one station and it was right next to a table someone was sitting at. I had to reach over them to place my dirty dishes. Parking could be better, but I was able to park nearby (not in the parking lot- it was full.) Also, more napkins available would be nice! Maybe at each table? I did appreciate the water dispenser near the cash...

Stopped by for coffee and a muffin around 9:15 am PARKING and accessibly: I needed the accessible sidewalk and unfortunately it’s very far away from the front and it was not usable on my way out since someone parked in front of it making me have to go over the curb.

The parking lot was very full and the snow covered about 3 slots that were needed.

FOOD: The small coffee was good I got the UR cute and a berry muffin. Both tasted great. I appreciate that orders for in the shop are served in glassware. Cost for both was a little more than $10
