Crumbl — Restaurant in Meridian Charter Township

I never usually leave reviews but tonight I ordered for curbside pick up. I placed my order and it said to be there by 8:40pm. I pull in and on the app it said to click “here” when you arrive. I clicked here and it said they would be out with my order shortly. After waiting 15 min and seeing multiple people come in and out I checked my phone again and it said enjoy your order! As if it were delivered. So I ran in the store thinking someone accidentally picked it up and was told no one picked it up and we will bring it out when it’s done. So I go back to my car and wait an additional 15 min! I see a worker bringing out an order and thought finally! Just to see them deliver to the car next to me that had been there maybe 5 min. So I asked the worker what was going on and she ran back in and came back with my order saying it was just sitting there..I explained to her about me coming in and she seemed like there must have been some type of confusion and they should have gave me my order when I went in and told them my name since my order was just sitting there.She also said my order didn’t come up as a curbside. She then told me next time to just come in.. what is the point of ordering curbside then? I had a sleeping child in the backseat hence why I couldn’t just go in and wait in an overpacked store. Needless to say I don’t think I’ll be going back to that location.. in total I waited 35min,Probably more. I’m giving it one star because the cookies were fine. I was really excited about the lineup this week. I usually only grab one or two, I couldn’t decide so I got a 4 pack for the first time. I usually go to the location on Marketplace but they were out of the chocolate sandwich one. I ended up going to the Okemos location because all of the cookies were available. Very nice location, it was my first time there. The gentleman greeted me promptly by name & said my order would be ready shortly. I waited a minute or two & my order was brought out & shown to me. I really liked this location it was a bit bigger than the Lansing location so it doesn’t feel crowded when waiting for your order. I will come again. I got the cookies & cream cheesecake, double fudge sandwich, patriotic fruit pizza & strawberry cake. The cookies & cream cheesecake was my favorite, all of the flavors & the cheesecake was perfect! My next favorite was the strawberry cake, very good strawberry flavor & the frosting was very creamy & delicious. The double fudge sandwich was good. The chocolate base cookies are usually my favorite so I’m surprised this one did not score higher for me. The patriotic fruit pizza was ok. The cookies are high quality. Unfortunately, the customer service for catering orders is less than ideal. I placed a large catering order a day prior to an event. I chose a timed pickup, and received a text saying our catering order would be ready by 2pm on the day of service. I arrived at 2:30 expecting my order to be fulfilled and ready (as we had an event we were due at with said cookies.) I went inside and was told my the staff that they hadn’t even started on my order. Staff were dismissive and rude. When they finally fulfilled my order more than fifteen minutes later, we raced to our event only to get all the way there and realize they had left out 25% of our order. When I called to relay these facts, I was met with a very unsympathetic assurance that they would refund me for the cookies left out. No apology, no offer of anything as compensation for this horrible mismanagement. Would NOT recommend for catering.
