After leaving Uni Sushi and Ramen pleasantly full, everything in me was craving a good Boba Tea and my wife told me to the look up and there was heavenly light shining on Koala Bakery & Cafe haha! Since we are new to the area, we decided to go in and look around. When we entered we looked around at the wonderfully modern and welcoming Japanese/Asian style atmosphere, and marvelled at the amount of people who were in the cafe as it neared 9 PM. There are two menus at the front table there were two menus--one for food and the other for teas--and we began looking to see what the cafe offered. After a few minute marvelling at the wonderful tea menu, we decided to share a large Strawberry Milk Tea and add Bobba. As we waiting in the quickly moving line, we noticed a display case of delicious deserts ranging from cakes, cheesecakes, Crêpes, and so many more. We tried to look at everything without pressing our faces on the display glass, and finally came to a decision about getting a piece of beautiful Tiramisu Crêpe Cake. Before we placed our order, I noticed a little robot waiter and told my wife. She was so excited, as was I, because we had never experienced something like before. As we were placing our order, my wife as the attendant behind the counter about the robot, and she told us that if we dine in that the robot would deliver our order to us. We were so excited and anxiously waited for our order (which didn't take long at all)! In our final waited moment, we heard music begin and the robot that was close to the register was making it's way toward us! My wife quickly grabbed her phone and filmed the experience! It was one of the coolest things I've experienced here so far! The tea was UNBELIEVABLY delicious and the tiramisu crêpe cake was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! 1,000,000,000/10 recommend to anyone who wants a family friendly environment with a modern and welcoming Japanese/Asian style atmosphere and wonderful food, tea, bobba, and dessert!

Fantastic place! Meg took our order and she was amazing. Very polite and helpful staff. They were out of the popcorn chicken I ordered, so they gave us the option of a refund or substitution with another item. We went with their shrimp, as well as their Fried Spicy Calamari. Absolutely wonderful food. Best calamari I've had in my life. The shrimp and noodles were quite satisfying as well. All was served freshly made and presented beautifully. As for tea, we got their Honeydew Milk and Boba Mango. Both were great, but we liked the Mango best. The poppable boba is delicious. I highly recommend this place. It's not the cheapest, but it's such incredible food and such a nice atmosphere that you have to try it if you're in town. You get what you pay for, and here that means the very best one could ask from a homey little cafe on campus. We'll be visiting again!

I was helped by a blonde cashier, who was super friendly, and greeted me with an enthusiastic. Happy Monday! The service was wonderful. I ordered a mango smoothie, there was a miscommunication about having the cream on top, and they were so helpful in getting me a new one. It may have been my fault because my hearing is not the best. Regardless, they were very friendly and accommodating. My mother who used to have her own bakery, and is now retired, is quite a baked goods snob. In a good way. She loved the three different desserts I had her try. She usually doesn't like anyone's baked goods, but her own, but I could tell she absolutely loved the crêpe cake, the strawberry shortcake cup, and the dark chocolate cheesecake. The baked goods were so good, I went back later this evening, to get a mango slush, made with real fruit, and two other baked goods.

Kind staff. The calamari purple rice burrito is delicious, as are the sweet potato fries. The breads on the counter and the sweets in the cool case are very reasonably priced for the quality. I just wish there was a way to get the cheesy garlic bread and pizza bread warm. They are by no means bad at room temperature, but I prefer them warm and it's a minor inconvenience to heat them up at home.

A big draw of this place is the drinks, due to personal preference, I am not a fan. I prefer a stronger spicier tea you might get in South Asia. If you have a sweet tooth, they are more suited to you.

The lighting inside is not harsh, yet not too dim either, and music is played at all times. It is not pop radio, but I didn't pay attention specifically. The music is probably not loud enough to be distracting from studies, especially if you have decent headphones, and would most likely not overpower a conversation with a friend.

Overall, 5 stars, but 3.5 stars for the spaghetti stir-fry specifically. The majority of the dish is quite good and satisfying, but the meats are gross and chewy. Granted, I ordered in the late evening, so maybe it has to do with how they are stored, and it'd be worth the venture to try this dish...

Such an awesome business. Consistent. I can always expect each dish or drink to taste the same and always look great! Matt knows what he is doing and the entire team deserves appreciation. We are picky on what we eat after working in the restaurant industry for a combined 25 years...This is the type of restaurant we always get excited for.

If you are new to this type of cuisine or desserts try these out. For food items the shrimp and fish sandwich are my go to. The shrimp sandwich reminds me of the best shrimp sandwich I ever had in the Outer Banks at Captain's Kitchen. Best in the World...

The fried chicken sandwich. Dang...Yum!!

Chicken teriyaki bowl with rice...Huge portion size, fresh veggies and always plenty of chicken...Get it spicy!

Drinks...Our favorite is the Large Taro Premium Tea with Boba and 25% sweetness....Every now and then I stray to the passionfruit with popping boba but mmmmhhhh, the Taro is so creamy and flavorful.

Dessert and baked items...Pork floss bun. Might not be for everyone but we love it! The cheesecakes are all tasty, the rolls are so tender and creamy, the buns...The cheese bun, the custard bun and the strawberry and cheese bun are our go to...every time.

You can't...
