Went here twice in the same week to see if it was good, and I had two different drinks. The first time, I had the ginger honey tea and it was delicious!! Probably one of my favorite flavors, ginger is awesome and the house made boba is amazing. The croissant I had with it was great too! Very flaky and buttery. I was happy with my food and drink and the woman at the counter was professional and friendly!
The second time made me not want to come back :( I had asked the guy at the counter for a suggestion, and said I'd like a clear tea that would go well with the coconut jelly that I wanted to try this time. He recommended the coconut butterfly (?) drink and said it was popular, and asked if I wanted it iced. I asked if they made blended drinks too, and he said yes, so I asked for it blended instead. To be fair, he DID put the drink in the blender, I even heard it run, but he didn't add ice?? Served it to me iced, with coconut milk added. So neither blended nor clear, which is fine enough. I'm not too picky! I took the drink and left. It turned out to be one of the most bland teas I've ever had. It tasted like watered down coconut milk that had briefly sat next to a sealed bag of sugar in a past life. The boba was sweeter than the actual drink. I was very disappointed, and for being a $7 drink it made me a little upset. I finished it because I wasn't about to waste $7, but I probably won't be coming back. I like to try new flavors and the options so far being "pretty good!" and "this was a mistake" are not good enough odds to justify driving all the way back to spin the wheel again.
I would like to keep coming back because I'd rather support a smaller business that makes a lot of their items in house than a commercial chain that imports their ingredients from a manufacturer, but something in the recipes needs to change! I've read through the reviews and seen what others have said regarding lack of flavor/sweetness/etc. and I really have to agree. It's wild how one drink is perfect, and the second was like it wasn't even taste tested before being added to the menu.
TL;DR: staff is friendly, croissants are good, but the drinks themselves are very hit or miss. I probably...
Read moreI love trying boba at different locations, and this one happens to be right down the street from my work! Convenient! As far as the drinks, I’ve had three really good orders (a mango oolong with boba, a black milk tea with boba, and a dalgona whipped coffee with boba - the first time I’ve successfully found an iced coffee with tapioca boba! So good!😋). I have had one other coffee order that was made hot and not cold like I’d asked… only because the lady staffing the counter was frazzled by a machine not working correctly for another person’s order (the drink was still good hot). I definitely recommend the tapioca pearls. I’m not super familiar with jellies, but the one time I tried them here, they were kind of grainy; but the tapioca boba here tastes fresh and sweet with nice chewy texture. I have also had no trouble getting my orders quickly, which is really helpful since I’ve only stopped by on my lunch breaks. My only suggestions (other than getting order details correct, which I’m sure will improve with time) would be to give the atmosphere some more inviting features and maybe to introduce a smaller-size drink option. I will be coming...
Read moreJust dropped in there tonight and at first glance I was a bit off put by fairly minimalistic environment, but that quickly changed once we ordered our drinks and talked to the kind woman making them. I got a Coconut Butterfly Pea Tea with boba and my mother got a Jasmine tea, and let me tell you; both were delicious. If you’re looking for authenticity, I’d highly suggest dropping in here. Neither drink was too overpoweringly sweet at all but the flavors powered through and made the drink very tasteful. Mixed with the classic boba it gives the drink a pleasantly balanced sweetness that mixes perfectly with the drink itself. We both got to meet the very kind owner who explained how they make their teas with real tea leafs and how they don’t use syrups and artificial flavors in their drinks. Overall very pleasant experience and exactly what me and my mother have been looking for when it comes to good genuine boba in Meridian, we will definitely be back...
