Wendy's — Restaurant in Merriam

Friendly employees but the Coca Cola Freestyle machine in the lobby has been out of diet soda on my last, I don't know, 8 visits? I am just not somebody who can sit down and drink 800 calories of sugar with lunch. It isn't hard to fix this problem either.

You stick a paperclip in the little hole on the bottom of the door, pull out the box with an empty bag of aspartame in it, and and put in a new box. It's very easy and I've done it dozens of times. It can be done with no training and requires maybe 5 minutes at most. Come on. It's not a big task.

I have gotten terrible inedible food here a few times but overall this is a pretty okay Wendy's and definitely the best Wendy's in Kansas. (You wouldn't believe how bad the other ones are.)

If you're going to go here I recommend always ordering ahead with the app. The drive thru cashiers sometimes know the names of the menu items but not much other English so if you want to customize the sandwich or get a drink flavor or have any special request you almost always get the wrong thing unless you use...

You know you go to a place you look on the internet see what type of specials places have so you act okay there's a good special here you go there oh that's no longer in place so you proceeded to ask well I see this on the menu I want this combo and the combo is cheaper than the ala carte so I asked him I'll take the special the combo he said oh I can't do it at that price I said that's what the menu says out here and he was confused he didn't understand what I was talking about sounds like there's bait and switch nowadays and they're not the only ones doing it you see something with your own eyes or you read it on the internet and nothing is true and they don't do anything to accommodate the customer which is very wrong the only thing I can say out of this conversation is the gentleman I was talking to was very pleasant but just didn't seem well-informed about what was going on or more or less the upper management don't tell anybody anything and let them deal with the front of the...

pulled up to the drive thru around 9 or so and ordered three meals. I went to the second window and there was a lady and a guy. The lady was busy getting drinks and handed me one. I asked for a drink carrier and she asked the guy to get it. The guy asked what my order was and I told him. He grabbed it and I was about to be in my way, till I realized I was missing two drinks. I asked for them both and was handed one back. I told the guy I was missing a drink and the lady was like "I gave it to you". I looked around and said "well where is it" and the lady asked the guy if he handed me two drinks and he said no. They made another drink and gave it to me. The lady was kinda rude about the situation but she was probably just having a day, but the guy was nice. I wished them both a blessed day and drove off.

The food was as expected from a Wendy's in a good way. I have no complaints...
