Beast of Bourbon Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Mesa

Jan 2024 It's been a while. Too long apparently. So long that they changed the menu. Only lost a couple flavors of wings that wife liked but there's still plenty of others. They added some other stuff too that we can't wait to try.

Today we went with wings, pig wings, and fries pickles. All three goto's for us. We weren't planning on a cheat day, but here we are. Very good. We also splurged on Taco Tuesday. I ordered Baja Fish and pork carnitas. What you'd expect for a fish taco, maybe a little better. The carnita taco was excellent. Way better than you'd expect from sports bar. Had homemade chicharones on it. Don't find this very often. I'll definitely be getting this again . Wife liked the red chili taco and babacoa.

We don't know why we stopped going. Another place opened up close by that we had been waiting for it to open for a long time, but we still prefer Beast of Bourbon better.

Will most definitely be going back.

---Feb 2023. Shared the ribeye with the wife. She likes it medium well, I like it medium. So asked for the middle. Wings came out first. As always, delicious. Mango habanero is always good. I usually get it on the pig wings (pork shanks-get them). We also got Maple Bourbon, Thai peanut, and some red curry flavor. I'm not a fan of the peanut. Wife loves it though. We wouldd get all the flavors again.

Then a long wait for the steak. I thought maybe they forgot the order. Then it finally arrived. Maybe it wasn't as long as I thought but it took it's time.

It was well with the wait. A steak in a sports bar, probably mediocre. This was one of the best steaks we've ever had in any restaurant. Except for a couple bites, the fat was rendered perfectly. There was an awesome hue of pink throughout the steak. Asparagus was okay. The potato wedges were probably the best I've ever had. They are usually either overcooked or undercooked sonin and never purposely order them. These were perfect. Ate more than I should have in my attempt to stay low carb.

January 2023 update Have been back multiple times. Food is great. Not a fan of the Mac n cheese bites but wife liked them. It's a texture thing for me. Wings are always good. As are the burgers.. They have burgers of the month too.

Updated October 2022 Have gone twice in last week. During the week at about 7pm each time.

Fast service. Good food. Price inline with what we would expect. Will keep going back as long as service stays.

Second time I visited, Sept 2021, the sign said seat yourself. Two people in my group were there before us. They had been there for 10 minutes before we arrived. We waited an additional 15 minutes, and did not have a single person approach to take an order or even acknowledge that we were there. It was 5:00 on a Friday afternoon, and the restaurant/bar did not seem to be that busy. We ended up leaving to go somewhere where our patronage was appreciated. We will try again someday. As someone who recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Beast of Bourbon Sports Bar, owned by Diamondback Group LLC, I feel compelled to share my deeply troubling encounter. The manager of this establishment has demonstrated a shocking lack of concern for the safety and well-being of their customers, particularly in cases of brutal assaults that leave patrons unconscious.

During my visit, I was horrified to witness a violent altercation that resulted in a customer being rendered unconscious. Instead of swiftly intervening and cooperating with local law enforcement to ensure the victim's safety and apprehend the perpetrator, the manager of Beast of Bourbon displayed a disturbing indifference to the situation unfolding before them.

It is abundantly clear that customer safety is not a priority for the manager of Beast of Bourbon or for Diamondback Group LLC. By failing to take decisive action and ignoring their responsibility to protect patrons from harm, they are actively endangering the lives of those who choose to spend their time and money at their establishment.

I call upon Amy Nations, appointed as their agent to the liquor commission, to thoroughly investigate the appalling conduct of Beast of Bourbon Sports Bar. It is imperative that swift and decisive action be taken to hold them accountable for their negligence. If it were within my power, I would not hesitate to shut down this location immediately to prevent further harm to unsuspecting customers.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against patronizing Beast of Bourbon Sports Bar and urge others to join me in boycotting this establishment. By refusing to support businesses that prioritize profit over the safety of their customers, we can send a powerful message that such reprehensible behavior will not be tolerated. It is time for action to ensure that establishments like Beast of Bourbon are held accountable for their...

Wow..so much to say..most importantly this was my first time there......first of all they had a brand new girl on the floor, so there's that.. She was in over her head a bit but she kept smiling so there was that too... That's about where the positive ends..

The hightop was not wiped off, sticky, that set the tone, the menu looked decent but the first two things I ordered, they no longer served them yet still on the menu...SMH....so I settled for Mac and cheese with bacon...I mean bacon right can't go wrong? Well....25 minutes later my food arrives. Yes it was hot, it wasn't bad but it's Mac and cheese not 25 minute Mac and cheese...the place wasn't even crowded when ordered.

It was also poker night which should be a fun thing....here's my take... Play have fun enjoy poker..but the F word was said so often from the poker game about 10' away....I thought I was in a brothel...I'm not adversed to the word..but there were kids close enough (it's a restaurant too)and it's not a word I appreciate when I'm having dinner with friends and we're not cussing incessantly..have some class...and the guys were cussing ..but the females were the ridiculousness here...just saying

Not sure I'll go back ..and here's the thing that most upset me..as a dad..I know kids can end up at work sometimes...stuff happens, schedules work stuff is fluid......but this young boy maybe 8 was wandering around the bar, in and out of the kitchen, didn't seem like anybody was policing his whereabouts, ....again....from my vantage point..maybe I missed the adult supervision...but his in and out of the kitchen area...seemed like a serious hazard and accident waiting to happen...
