After my 4 bedroom, 15 year old home was completely destroyed as the result of an electrical fire, my girlfriend, my mother, and my daughter and grandson were placed in this all-suite property for several weeks by my insurance company, while we waited for them to locate a suitable rental home for us to live in during the next 10 to 12 months that had been estimated my original home would take to rebuild. We could not have asked for better accommodations. The staff knew of our loss and always went above & beyond to make sure that we were all comfortable. We had 2 suites, one for my daughter & grandson, and another with 2 separate bedrooms, one for my girlfriend and me, the other for my mother. In addition to the caring staff, and just speaking as an average customer, this location was recently built approx. 3-4 years ago, so the rooms (which are all suites) as well as the gym, breakfast area, laundry facility, etc., are very modern and well maintained. The suite amenities were especially accommodating in our situation, as having a full kitchen (with a dishwasher!) made it seem as though we had a little slice of "home"here with us. Another amenity that I enjoyed was the 3 hole putting green in the front area of the property, next to the basketball court and pool, and near the outdoor sitting patio, which included a fire pit. Speaking of the breakfast area, the Residence provides a complimentary, more-than-merely- Continental breakfast, which includes many hot items with something different every morning, as well as the normal choices of cereal, toast/muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, etc. I used to travel quite extensively for my work, staying in better lodging accommodations across America, and I can honestly say that it's one of the better complimentary breakfasts I've had. All in all, considering the unfortunate circumstances that brought us here, I think I speak for the others in saying that with the many other newer lodging properties in this area, we are grateful to my homeowners insurance company for placing us in this hotel, as the accommodations, the amenities, and especially the staff consistently went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. And we would like to say thank you so very much to the staff for making such a horrible disaster a little easier for my family and me...
Read moreI’ve been staying at this property for nearly three months while my home undergoes repairs due to a traumatic break-in that occurred while I was hospitalized with a serious injury. I have two rooms here for myself and my three children. To say this has been a difficult chapter in our lives would be an understatement.
I’ve held off on writing this review because there are several employees here who truly deserve recognition. Our housekeeper who consistently brightens my day, the night front desk gentleman Esa who always greets us with a welcoming smile, the front desk staff who are welcoming and kind, the handyman and even the general manager have all provided exceptional service. Their kindness and professionalism have made an incredibly hard time more manageable. Because of them, this is not a one star review.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the breakfast staff. Specifically, one woman has repeatedly treated me with blatant rudeness and hostility. On more than one occasion, I’ve been confronted simply for bringing breakfast back to my room for my children—something that’s not only reasonable, but common practice for families staying here.
One morning, she told me, “I’ve only seen you with one kid,” implying I was lying about how many children I have. To resolve the issue, I brought my entire family down—including my 6’5” teenager—so there could be no misunderstanding. She was visibly stunned but never offered an apology. Today, she told me, “I hope you’re not taking all of it—we have a more important group coming in.” That comment was not just offensive, it was degrading.
I’ve remained respectful throughout, despite the stress I’m under and the thousands of dollars spent here—over $30,000 so far. I’m a Titanium Elite member and have stayed at Marriott properties across the country. I’ve never experienced treatment this inappropriate or demeaning at any location. I’ve skipped breakfast many mornings where I could just not handle the negative treatment.
Marriott, this is unacceptable. This employee’s behavior is not just a poor reflection on your brand—it’s a violation of the values your company claims to stand for. She should not be in a position of customer interaction. I hope you take this seriously and make the necessary changes.
Sincerely, A loyal Titanium...
Read moreI just spent about 2 weeks here while I was waiting to close on a house for a job relocation. So I had my reservations up to the 21st through work, today is now the 17th and I moved all my stuff to my new house and out of the room on the 15th. After I had my breakfast this morning I went up to my room to watch some TV and drink some coffee and my key doesn't work. I go downstairs and ask the front desk and she said they checked me out because there wasn't anything in the room. They didn't call me, email me or anything they just decided to check me out and put someone else in the room even though I had reservations until the 21st.
I wasn't going to be staying in the room but that's not the point, my job gives me per diem everyday I had it and I wanted the breakfast and dinners because I'm wanting to hold off on my first grocery shopping trip until I get back from Xmas. They screwed me out of about 400 bucks all together I would say. Why would you just check someone out of the room they have until the 21st.....? At the very least call and see what's going on... Really messed up.
More pros and cons
PROS Staff was great and I didn't have any problems very friendly
Breakfast was good and had enough to not get too bored with it and used what tasted like real eggs and was clean
Liked the food they provide at night on Mondays and Tuesdays. Definitely enough to make a meal out of and good.
Location was great and close to a lot of different things
CONS Number One Con besides what I wrote in the beginning.... We are in one of the most conservative parts of the country. Get that country dividing CNN off the TV in the mornings. Horrible way to start off your mornings.
Doors start off closing slowly but then slam right at the end. And walls seem paper thin. I was woke up a couple nights by a loud TV next door and what sounded like someone tap-dancing above me. But that's kind of normal.
After a biscuits and gravy morning they had I got the Hersey squirts like crazy. I'm pretty sure it was the sausage they used in the gravy but I cant say for certain. It could have been something else and only happened once out of the 13 or so breakfasts I had there. It was the day the movers arrived with all my stuff too so it made for a very...
