FISH poisoning.....OK so as a yelper I guess I should've checked the star rating on this particular Chili's before I went and got poisoned by them. Let we first start by saying Chili's is my favorite restaurant, I normally spend my birthday in the bar of Chili's watching the World Series enjoying my favorite meal. And that's not because I'm cheap or can't afford a better restaurant it's because I genuinely love chili's. Or should I say loved, past tense. I went for lunch last Thursday and was happy to sit down in the bar. I should've known the experience was Going to be mediocre because the waitress didn't actually offer us drinks for about 10 minutes. We asked to move to a booth because the lighting was so terrible as well as the service and we were told by the hostess they didn't have any, mind you after lunch on a Thursday no one was there. So let me just get to the good part I ate the ancho salmon, not 10 minutes after finishing my meal, I was in the restroom profusely puking in the worst pain of my life. I would returned to the table thinking its over and my daughter informs me I have a red hives all over my face. Long story short we leave continue to puke all night then I go to urgent care the next day because my vision is blurred and I still feel sick every time I eat, lo and behold I have been poisoned, scombroid fish poisoning. I called chili's they assure me that they are going to rectify the situation and have someone contact me well it's Wednesday still haven't heard a thing!!! Do not eat here. Look up scombroid fish poisoning! I could have died. Way to go Chili's!!!! And wasn't even offered a REFUND until I had to ask their...
Read moreIt was date night, finally. We chose Chili's for dinner and a few drinks after my wife had worked a 10 hour day. The waitress was very nice but immediately told us she was working a double shift on 4 hours of sleep, and was not "on her game". We were in no hurry and took awhile to decide on the menu after we ordered a round of drinks. She was very patient and checked back several times. We ended up ordering "bar munchies" to share, which were okay. Our server checked on us after we got our food, and then again to inform us that she was getting a large party, with a guy who was going to propose. The party was sat a few tables away, and they sat the "kids' table" right next to us. Normally, this would not bother me, but it had not been the relaxing date night I had been looking forward to. After a 15 minute wait, we were sat at a two top, so I could not sit next to my wife (only across feom her)++, and now we had 5 kids next to us with little supervision. Our second round of margaritas arrived as we finished our food. The kids were a bit rowdy, so we asked for to go boxes to pack up our leftovers, sucked down our drinks, and ended up taking dessert to go. Despite starting off with excuses, our service was excellent, the food was good-the chicken fajitas were a little undercooked and too much lemon for me, but my wife liked it, and the rest of the meal was good. I should have asked for a bigger booth when we were sat, and informed the hostess that we wanted to be seated some place quiet. It would have made a big...
