Nice looking but to many tables hardly room to walk around. 30 tvs 3 on golf 1 on baseball rest on NHL. Asked to have 1 switched to College World Series a few minutes later hostess said we do not have ESPN. Waitress comes ask her the same thing she said sure. Comes back a while later we do not have ESPN. Shocked I said you call yourself a sports bar? Told her we will be letting people know you call yourself a sports bar and do not have ESPN? Told her to let her manager know we will be writing a review about this. A few minutes later the hostess returns with waitress and a paper. Oh yes we have espn we will put it on. In the main time we had our food already and half way finished.
Now as for the food. Ordered the ribeye steak with fries but asked for onion rings instead. Steak was suppose to have garlic butter as described in menu nope did not get any. But the kicker was the Ribeye steak was a sirlion. Onion rings were greasy. Tried my friends fries they were the thin home type fries. They were under cooked.
Service was okay as they were busy.
Do not recommend this place to anyone. Take time to pass up this place and find a better sports bar, because they were over priced!!! Wish the waitress would have told the owner/manager to come over, guess she did not want to look foolish about the ESPN thing.
By the way they have on the menu Shrimp Poboy in the description it said on a Hoggee bun. Everybody knows poboys are made with French bread. Another fail on...
Read moreI’m not one to write bad reviews but I feel like this place has potential and I genuinely want to provide honest feedback. I’ve worked in the several types of restaurants and I feel like I have a good perspective. Anyways I went there on a date with my boyfriend because his boss gave him a gift card and we live close by but have never tried it. It was Saturday evening and it was pretty slow. The atmosphere was a little weird. A few older people at the bar and a couple families at the tables. Lots of tvs but very quiet. Didn’t feel “sports pubby”. My boyfriend’s beer was flat and skunky. He got a Guinness but it tasted off. We didn’t say anything though so that’s on us. We got friend mushrooms which were obviously frozen before cooked and all watery in the middle. Again, didn’t say anything. But what I am really annoyed about is when we went to pay the server told us that we can’t use the gift card because they updated the system. And personally I feel like they should have just took the gift card and credited us. It was brand new. Hadn’t even scratched off the PIN number. Said their new system couldn’t scan it. I just feel like more could have been done. The server was a nice enough, young guy. But I just don’t see us coming back. Hopefully things can improve. Also we only had the mushrooms but the menu prices seemed a bit pricey for the quality of the mushrooms and it being a “pub”. Like 12 wings for $24? Nah. Maybe if we could use the...
Read moreI'm not a Sports Bar fan, but since this is a Sports Pub, I gave it a chance. A friend and I were out to grab some beers, a game and hopefully some traditional public house food. This unpretentious sports pub grabs you the moment you walk in. With its Saloon bar, café/diner look and wtw TVs with memorabilia combination, it is a great change of pace from the big box, run-of-the-mill so-called sports bars you'll find anywhere! Mike, the owner, and all his folks not only know hospitality and wear great smiles, with stupendous service, but have an incredible array of offerings! My Buddy ordered their Green Chili Burger with New Mexico Green Chilis, Pepper jack Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato and homemade spicy mayo! Made uniquely flavorful, you have to try their good old fashioned, traditional Lamb Shepard's Pie (SP)... incredible! As a SP lover, I was amazed at how well the ratios of onion to garlic to thyme to rosemary were, not to mention, just the right amount of Worcestershire sauce... just enough for taste but not overwhelming! Echo 5 is the first sports anything I've liked, and is highly recommended for the folks, ambience, comfort, hominess, hospitality, great tastes and plain good food......
