Simply put, all of the negative comments for this location are accurate. I have been to this location multiple times, this will be the last.
First let's start with customer service. It seems like the entire staff is apathetic towards their job, when you get to the front of the line to place your order the person just stares at you, or stares off in the distance and doesn't acknowledge you, it's not one person in particular either, it seems to be everyone. On top of that no matter the time of day or whether it's busy or not the staff here moves at a snail's pace, that or they will literally be standing around doing nothing while customers are waiting for their food. Employees will be at the order and payment register even if a customer isn't waiting to order or pay, meanwhile you'll have one or two people making the orders.
Secondly, back to no matter the time of day it is, nothing seems to be stocked here. You can show up when it's not busy and the coffee, creamers, and bagels won't be stocked. It feels like the management here is pinching pennies left and right hoping not to have any waste just so they can have a larger bonus.
Last but not least, this store is a disaster zone. I don't think I have ever seen it where it doesn't look like a tornado has blown through the place. There is trash stacked up, creamer spilled all over the counter, lids, straws and wrappers all over the place. There are flickering lights, they have signs that arent hanged properly, it's just completely dishoveled.
I guess this location feels like they can get away with this poor service because it's the only Einstein's around this area, other locations in the valley are much busier and have much better service. The Tempe and Chandler locations seem to always be busy but somehow they can keep their bagels and other supplies stocked and they get orders out fast. Einstein's definitely needs to fix this location.
I'm sending this review to the head office too. Don't eat here until they figure their stuff out.
Edit: Swung by two years after I left my review to see if anything has changed. Nothing has, it's still the worst Einstein's I've ever set foot in, so I guess this location can say that they're the best at...

I want to make SURE corporate knows how your attitude towards me was! DUE TO YOU NOT ACKNOWLEDGING ME, your co worker from across the way had to see if I needed assistance. You all failed to complete my order properly and there was less than 3 customers(already seated with their food) there! You all gave me an EXPIRED coupon, to make things better (picture provided) since you all FAILED to do your job! My order was not complete, diligence was not taken. When you spend over $15 at an establishment you expect to receive what you pay for! My bagel was soggy (when I asked for it to be toasted), the nova lox was room temp (which can pose a health risk)! My bag was not closed (seemed to have been thrown together). There was Guacamole smeared on my bag and I was expected to get my own (UNWRAPPED) straw, in some container that I don’t even know has been cleaned. Which is near a trash can, and she stated they did not have wrapped straws in the back! I would hate to contact the health department in regard to room temperature nova and unwrapped straws in a public space (after we ended a pandemic). Lastly, not only did this establishment not provide quality service and care to me, but to the delivery driver he did not deserve that either. When I come to an establishment I expect positive atmosphere and good customer service! Management please review with your staff that when a customer walks in conversations with coworkers need to cease (especially when you’re just laughing) because there were more workers than customers yet I still did not leave the place until 30 minutes after! Read moreThe BEST customer service! Yesterday I ordered on my app and picked up my order. It wasn't until I got to work I figured out they gave me the wrong item. Fortunately for me, it was something I would still eat, and did...lol. I called the store to let them know what happened and Robert answered my call. He said to come in the next day and he would replaced my order (including a coffee cake that I ordered separately after arriving, that there was noting wrong with).
Fast forward to this morning. Went in and Robert happened to be on the register. He gave me exactly what I ordered yesterday AND the coffee cake. So, since I didn't have to pay today, I thought I would treat myself to a Latte. I told Robert that I wanted to get the coffee, but would pay for it separately. He wouldn't let me. He took care of that as well because I had to come back (which I probably would have anyways even if yesterday didn't happen). So very nice and unexpected of him.
Then I spoke with Michelle at the other register where I waited for my food. Very sweet lady and great customer service as well. She has helped me in the past when I accidentally ordered something on the app that I needed to set to be pick up later, but it ended up doing asap. I called and got Michelle. I told her what I had done, that it was my first time ordering on the app, and I was an idiot and ordered something to be made now, but wouldn't be there for like an hour. She said it was already made, but she said to just let her know when I got there and that she would have it remade for me. She didn't have to do that because it was my mistake, but she was so kind to do it.
So....very two long stories short, the absolute above and beyond customer service from BOTH of these employees. You guys are lucky to have them working for you!!! Thank you both again for taking such...
