Fazoli's — Restaurant in Mesa

I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY PLACES LIKE FAZOLIS AND A&W’s RESTAURANTS DOESN’T GET THE ATTENTION, PRAISE AND CUSTOMERS THEY DESERVE: FAZOLIS IS 1,000,000 X TIMES BETTER THAN SPAGHETTI FACTORY, BUCA DI BEPPO AND, dear God, OLIVE GARDEN. 🤮🤮🤮 JUST AS A&W FROM THE BURGERS, TO THE FRIES (WELL ONLY THEIR CHILI CHEESE FRIES ARE BETTER THAN MCDONALDS FRIES) AND THEIR SHAKES/FLOATS OF COURSE are ALL BETTER THAN MCDONALDS, BURGER KING, EVEN FIVE GUYS (which IS a hit or miss depending the location) and ONE OF MY FAVS, CARLS JR (Hardees the father restaurant is 🤢) and let’s not bring my home states B🐂LLSH💩T OVER HYPHED GARBAGE FAVORITE, in-n-out 🤮🤮🤮.

It’s sad to see where as there was once a blooming amount of FAZOLIS AND A&W’S to it being a RARE SIGHTING to come across one of these DELICIOUS restaurants; the butter garlic breadsticks give Olive Garden a run for their money and Olive Gardens breadsticks and salads w/southern sweet tea is the only good thing they GOT. 🫠 The pasta here IS DELICIOUS. The marinade I believe they use for the roasted chicken is PHENOMENAL, and ALWAYS HAS BEEN (CONSISTENCY IS FREAKING KEY😡😤😡), the marinara and red base ARE BOTH DELICIOUSLY TOP NOTCH; not too big of a fan of Alfredo unless it’s made very good is not the too shabby here as well, the Italian sausage and pepperoni are seasoned ADEQUATELY; only thing I disliked was the shrimp which likely needs a marinade or some seasoning to it as well for whenever they bring it back, and that’s another one they always mix up the pasta noodles to have limited editions coming back to back. And the soda fountain filter isn’t that new DISGUSTING, CHEAP FREESTYLE NONSENSE. It’s the OLD SCHOOL fountain with quality filters that make the soda quality better than what’s bottled. Those new freestyle machines you see at places like Wendy’s and jack in the box have cheap filters and the soda flavor is unrecognizablely horrible tasting. But I usually get a large coke filled more than 1/3rd of ice to make it super chilled and crisped for the whole drink, carbonation and syrup levels all ON POINT.

They are very dining friendly, they even bring out extra bread sticks; you will see people dining by themselves, families dining, people dining with their kids or even a few friends dining together enjoying the meal. The seating is comfy, pleather like couch material and they have barstool seats by the back-west window.

I really hope FAZOLIS grows in the valley, and back to other states again for when I travel. FAZOLIS DESERVES IT over these hype job...

We are Canadian travelling United States. We drove for 6 hours on November 9. We were so tired and hungry. I was so happy to see a place selling comfort food. We went to 953 Dobson Rd Mesa fazoli’s waited for a few minutes. A young man called us to take our order. I’m not sure how things work. I asked him if the chicken parmigiana comes with pasta. He rudely responded what. I repeat the question. He responded rudely with 2 bread sticks. I said we will just get two spaghetti meatballs. I was paying cash I put the money on the counter. He said are you going to make me pick that up? I was confused and say sorry because I didn’t understand what he meant. He repeated again are you going to make me pick that up? Then I understand it was the money he was talking about. I said you’re being rude. Then he said I’m not serving you get out of here. I told him we are Canadian, I’m not sure how you do things here. Then a nice young woman came and said I would serve them. I asked the young woman what did we do wrong? She said nothing. You didn’t do anything wrong. He got upset at her, he said I’m the manager here. They will not get a service. But I can serve them she insisted. He got so upset at here told her to clock out. At this point I was listening to their conversation. I gather the way he was speaking to her is not a healthy environment for the other employees. He said to us if we don’t leave the premises he will call the police. One of the lady employee whispered please leave you will make the situation worse. I hope the owner of this establishment will do something about this. I had few businesses in Canada. I know how important customers are. The way we were treated was so bad. I was shaking when we left that restaurant. I thought, us not knowing how things work he could explain the procedures. This is a very good opportunity to upsell. Instead he kicked us out. So sad about this experience. Good luck to the owner of...

Went opening day, wait was over 2 hours... Owners outside calling air port location asking for more help, anyone that could come. 5 or 6 managers or owner types outside not helping What a waste! Didn't stay, too long a wait.

I was a restaurant manager for years, worked at fazolis when they were here before. Everyone pitched in, as needed. Even the Owners when they were in town.

Went 2nd day... Was told it was a 20 minute wait, ended up being 1 hour and 3 minutes to get through drive through line. Again, saw Owner and other managers or "In Charge types" outside... Again doing nothing. One called other location for more help.

Very disappointed that they weren't better prepared. Got to window (they have 2 windows, only 1 open) to pay. Saw "Not Very Happy" faces of the employees... Where was the supoort, the leadership... "Your only as good as your leaders and teachers"

Had the 1st window been open, the "flow" would have been faster and smoother. All Hands on Deck should have been attitude. Even from the authority types they should have been helping, they are the ones with the most to lose! Service everywhere has gone out the window for the sake of the "All mighty Dollar" Very Sad!!!

*Food Breadsticks were under cooked, extremely disappointed as they were once my favorite! Ordered a Grand sampler, to experience all my one time favorites. Meatballs, seemed frozen No flavor... There is El Dante and there is undercooked... All pasta was undercooked except the lasagna, I'm guessing because it's baked. The lasagna was pretty good. It cost 28.14 for 2 meals, 2 extra breadsicks and an extra sauce. Olive garden has much better Sevice. FOOD is always great there and the cost is about the same, plus they have terimasu, NOT FROZEN Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake.

Waited for this a very long time... Extremely disappointed Won't be back for...
