Firehouse Subs Superstition Springs — Restaurant in Mesa

I placed an order at 11:40am for a 12pm pickup. I got here at 12pm and waited patently for my order and finally asked 10 min later. The guy working behind the counter didn’t even start my order and said he had a big order and couldn’t get to mine yet. So while he’s busy working a large order, the girl in the back didn’t assist whatsoever. At 12:20pm I finally asked the girl in the back for a refund if my order hadn’t been started yet. She walks up to the guy and he says he’s working on it right now. Are you kidding me! I had to sit there for almost 25 min for two medium, un-toasted sandwiches. The service was horrendous and no apology and no one acknowledged me sitting and waiting the entire time. There was no one in line and it was not busy. I had two simple, basic sandwiches and I’m so annoyed. I have to get my child fed and ready for her nap, which put me completely behind. The sandwiches are overpriced for what they are and I refuse to give my service to this...

There's accessible parking in front and walk-up counter. They have cookies for under $2- a nice sweet treat. They put their subs in the to-go boxes which makes it easier to eat, but also if you're taking it home, it's easy for topping to fall out. Sub a bit small but very tasty and fresh- love the customization with veggies. Service a bit slow the hour before closing, but they were friendly and welcoming. Clean seating...

The food was ok, I got a hook and ladder sub. There was so much shredded lettuce on it that I had to remove some just to be able to eat it.

The service was slow but you could tell they were trying. It’s new so I expect that it will take them some time to get used to being open.
