Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Mesa

Dec 2023 I'm not expecting a gourmet meal when I come here. The epitome of frozen fried food. Don't get me wrong, not gross, but sometimes you order some things and wonder why you did that. Probably cuz it's late and there's nothing else open. Hence, the drive-thru window at Jack in The Box.

We ordered jalapeno poppers, chicken nuggets, egg rolls, sourdough jack burger, and curly fries, and tiny tacos.

I truly only ordered the tiny tacos because I wanted to make nachos with homemade beans at home. I figured the tortilla shell filled with meat plus my added beans and cheese would make for a good nacho. I was right. My nachos were pretty good. I don't think it had anything to do with the tiny tacos. You can get the same thing by going to your local grocery store and buying a box of the Delimex tiny tacos. They might not be the exact same thing, but they're pretty close.

I thought the egg rolls were okay. The wife said that their egg rolls had changed, which they have, they're bigger now. They might not be quite as flavorful. Luckily I had a bottle of Panda Express sweet and spicy sauce in the fridge I used to dip it in.

I could not lower myself to eat the concoction that they called jalapeno poppers. My wife ate them so they must have been okay.

The large fry box definitely looks like it has shrunk. And for curly fries, it was mostly little pieces of half a curl.

The sourdough Jack was okay. No explosion of awesome flavor, but what you expect from Jack in the Box.

As far as service, I had a circle through the drive-thru twice because they forgot the jalapeno poppers the first time through.

Order # 00902707 for $14.37 @ 1911 S Power in Mesa, AZ 85206 I ordered through the app, payment was processed. Went through Starbucks drive through picked up a frapp coffee order then clicked the JIB app prepare food button. Then crossed street to Jack in the box. Went through drive through and at order window said I was there to pick up an app order and gave my name. She said they didn’t have any orders and asked to confirm JIB address. Confirmed. I told her I would just show her the order confirmation screen. The driver in the car ahead of me when they got to the window took 8 more minutes handing back n forth a receipt and finally getting 4 bags of food. Then I got to the window and showed the young man who showed to the manager who apologized and hand wrote the order to get it ready. They asked me to drive to the front of the store to wait. I did. A young lady brought out the food but had to go back in because the curly fries were forgotten. She brought those out later. Get home, less than a mile away and the only thing that was hot was the egg rolls. Both burgers were actually cool and hard. Not even Luke warm. They went into the trash since one of the burgers smelled and tasted funny. Fries went to the trash. The frap coffee I got for my fiancé had melted and was dumped out. Not a great experience.

Went to have breakfast at 1145 am. Dec 14th and first the price on menu was not what we were charged menu showed 8.99 for each meal but it rang up at 11 each. With no change in size or adds to account for additional cost. We sucked it up and paid for our two breakfast meals. When it came to eating them however my croissant was cold cheese not even melted ans second bite I bit into some foreign hard small object I had to fish out of my mouth. Immediately my appetite was gone. The second sandwich had uncooked bacon on it and it too was cold. I don't know whay happened there today but close to $30 for 2 breakfast meals that were cold and had hair or plastic on them. I am no stranger to jack in the box. This experience will keep me from returning for some time. When I showed employees I got a shrug and I can warm it up.. no I don't want a re warmed breakfast sandwich with hair on it. And with two bittes out you shouldn't put in kitchen again. I also called and left a message. No response. This place is not ok. They should have re made or offered a free meal or given me back the $26 dollars I spent on un edible food.
