IHOP — Restaurant in Mesa

I went there with my family looking forward to a spinach omelette which I hadn't had for a while. When I got there they asked what we wanted to drink and I ordered coffee as did someone else at the table. Then it wasn't too long wasn't too quick but wasn't too long and are we all ordered breakfast. So we visited and talked drink coffee visited and visited some more. Finally I was looking around to see if there was a restaurant nearby where I could get something to eat while we were waiting for this to come. And it all did come beautiful pancakes and my omelette was beautiful and unfortunately I didn't focus on what everybody else got. But I tried to take a bite of the pancakes and then we're ice cold. It's not that they hadn't been microwaved when they got cold they just have been microwaved and microwaved till they were equivalent to rubber on a tire.My was good but not really fresh. This is the second bad experience I've had with IHOP I seriously doubt that they'll ever come back. But I don't think that matters anymore because they don't even they don't even seem to try anymore. Course of all that coffee I had to go into the restroom. And I was shocked how dirty it was. It's okay I guess to put a new face lift and a remodel on a place. Just don't clean anything like the kitchen or the bathroom. Literally there was dirt that I have seen for several years around the paper towel dispenser. I wonder if they know what soap and a scrub brush is or...

When I had first started coming here with my girlfriend we had no problems at all! The food was great, there was quick service and our waitress was attentive and polite. The second and third time I've been here has been a complete flip unfortunately... Oddly enough, I've only been here in the evening.

First off, It takes forever to be seated at a table on seemingly slow days. I've always been given a shirt wait time by staff up front, but end up waiting 20 to 30 minutes longer. IF you are finally able to be seated, you will be lucky to see your waiter more than twice. I'm not joking. Thats actually GOOD for this IHOP. We went in on a Thursday night for "breakfast for dinner" not too long ago. We were sat at a table by a woman up front......and that was it... THAT WAS IT. It took us forever to be seated on a DEAD Thursday night. We were ignored and no one ever came to take our orders... We waited about 15 minutes and just left. Every time I've been here someone is walking out angry because of seating. I didn't know why at first, but now I totally understand. This was the final straw for me. I will not be coming back to this IHOP... The ONLY redeeming quality (and the only reason this review gets 2 stars) is because the food always stayed consistent. The food may be decent here, but the service is hands down some of the worst in the entire Valley. I am a delivery driver and visit many, many restaurants in the East Valley. Very few treat me as rudely as this location does. Good luck getting service or even acknowledged. I waited in the lobby for 10 minutes until I gave up and went into the dining area to ask for help, and then was blown off by the wait staff repeatedly. In total I waited 40 minutes for my order. Extremely unhelpful staff, all the way up to the manager, who I also spoke to after waiting for 15 minutes. He was similarly very unhelpful and treated me like I was a huge inconvenience. I could not get a straight answer as to the status of my order. He did eventually say he would go check for me then just simply disappeared and never came back. One of the wait staff ended up bringing my order to me 10 or 15 minutes later, after I had talked to the manager. My order ended up being 30 minutes late and they did not care. At. All. I could not get a heads up or even confirmation that they had my order in the queue. Enjoy the food, but don't come here if good service and being treated well are things that you value. This was not an isolated incident, this happens...
