"My wife discovered this place while driving by, noticing the enormous Peruvian flag they were flying. While we enjoyed authentic and delicious Peruvian cuisine, I'm ambivalent about the name. The restaurant is owned by Carlos, his wife Sofia, and the chef Angelo who works at their restaurant, all of whom are Peruvian and were incredibly gracious and friendly. As a Peruvian, I can attest to the authenticity and great taste of the dishes we enjoyed. My wife and I had the ceviche and Lomo Saltado, two signature dishes of Peruvian cuisine. I also had a Chicha Morada, a delightful and refreshing drink made from purple corn, finely cut apples, and warm spices like cinnamon. The restaurant is very clean and brightly lit with ample seating.
My concern with the name is that finding good Peruvian food in the greater Phoenix area is quite rare, while Mexican taco places are abundant. The name 'Taco Land' suggests another Mexican taco restaurant, which may mislead potential customers. Incamex is a true hidden gem in Mesa! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff was incredibly polite, attentive, and made us feel right at home.
Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Peruvian flavor—rich, vibrant, and clearly made with care. You can truly taste the tradition in every bite. From the perfectly seasoned lomo saltado to the mouthwatering ceviche, everything was delicious and beautifully presented.
The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal with friends or family. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service are equally exceptional, but Incamex absolutely delivers on both fronts.
If you’re looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine in Arizona, this is the place. Highly recommend—we’ll definitely be...
Read moreFirst time in this restaurant (and it will surely be the first of many more) where we came to try Peruvian food. As Peruvians our palate is quite demanding but we were pleasantly surprised that all the dishes we ordered were exquisite, truly an authentic Peruvian flavor! The owners treated us with great attention. We tried the fish ceviche, lomo saltado, chicken causa, cau cau and beef chaufa rice, all delicious. We also tried the raspadillas with condensed milk, mouthwatering. One observation is that the name of the restaurant may cause confusion because it appears to be only Mexican food and is not related to Peruvian food. It is a restaurant with a relaxed, youthful, impeccable, modern atmosphere but with the Peruvian food of a luxury restaurant. I wish the owners much success as it is wonderful to have such quality Peruvian...
