McDonald's — Restaurant in Mesa

Went on a Thur. night around the time Sunsplash closed (10 pm?). Self-Serve Kiosk did not work. Half of restaurant was blocked off with chairs, presumably because of cleaning. Only area to sit was on the side by the bathrooms, which was also being mopped.

Girl who took our order was pleasant, but clearly didn't know how to work the register and didn't listen well.

Specifically ordered a # 9 (2 cheeseburger meal). She punched in a single cheeseburger, small fry, and a small soda, all as separate items. I reiterated that we wanted a #9 three times, she didn't make any effort to fix it. Then ordered a #1, she just put in an order for a big mac and nothing else. Then ordered the deluxe quarter pounder meal (forgot the menu #). Put in a regular quarter pounder, med. fries, med. drink. Again, reiterated that it was a deluxe meal to no avail. Also added a cone.

After placing the order we had to ask her to give us the drink cups because she just moved on. Also had to go back and ask for the cone because she didn't make it.

Fries were not fresh. Big Mac was old, like, it should have been tossed out old. Only ate a few bites because it tasted funny. Those who had the cheeseburger and non-deluxe quarter pounder ate their whole sandwiches so can't speak to the quality on those.

Noticed that they had an Uber Eats system that beeped with an order for about 10 min. without being addressed, even when the manager walked by it and took orders (saw the girl who took our orders head home and the manager started working the front).

Place didn't seem under staffed, but most of the employees were clearly only working drive...

Sunday , July 21 , 2024 approx 1:40 a.m So here I am waiting on this drive thru line for about 20 minutes. I had informed them of the order I was picking up while stuck at the intercom. Finally get up to the window only to be told my order is not ready, ok no big deal…. WRONG. I was told I HAD to go back around and wait in the line again….I have never ever heard of anyone ever told such a thing. It wasnt go park in front and they will bring it out. They CANT do that they said. I politely said that I was going to wait there till it was ready.

Now here comes the manager, rudely demanding that I either go to beginning of the drive thru line or cancel my pickup. I tell her that I waited in line just as everyone else is this something she would be doing if it was my order? No answer. I asked here and if I dont go to the beginning what she going to do? She starts getting loud and telling me that there are others orders infront of mine that she will be filling first, so its the same difference and if do as she has ordered she is going to call the cops and tell them I’m trespassing and she is going to file charges….. Wow. Ok call them then. I am there representing in place of the person I was picking up for, the order was paid, the order was “processing”.

Its not my fault she wanted to ignore the order priority that was made clear at the intercom. I waited 10 minutes and decided that this manager wasnt going to give me the order anyways once it was done to prove her abuse of authority. I feel this hostility was due to my gender. There was no other reason for...

I never write reviews but I just had to for this ridiculous place. I ran inside since the drive thru lines were full and all I wanted was an order of fries and a water. As I ordered the kid tells me we don't give water cups. I asked if they sold any water and he said there's a drinking fountain right there. Really?!! I have never been to a restaurant that doesn't sell water especially living in AZ!!!! By the way most places give it free I know for a fact the McDonald's down the street does since I just got a water from them the other day! Anyways while I was waiting for my fries a man went up and asked for his drink cup and the same kid tell him we don't give it until you get your food. What?!!!! Really?!!! The poor guy said ok. Oh heck no. If you've already paid for it it is yours. I wouldn't have accepted that. And to top it all off... We know McDonald's as a place to take the kids to eat and play. Well I wish I had my phone on me to take a picture, I left it in the car, but there is a sign that says limit your eating time to 30 min. No loitering. Now I can understand if there are a bunch of teenagers hanging around being loud and cussing because I have experienced that before but this was to everyone. Maybe it could say if your being obnoxious and loud and bothering other customers you will be asked to leave which is how most establishments handle that kind of stuff. Jeeze. Oh and by the way after all that the fries were stale!!!Never again will I go to this McDonald's!!!...
