I was very disappointed in many things with this stay. The 1st is the placement of handicapped parking not being close enough to the main entrance. There were at least 4 regular spots across the way that could have been handicapped but weren't. Even though they seemed to have quite a few spots, the designated spots were quite far from the main entrance. The second reason was that the breakfasts were very unappetizing, and definitely not worth the $16 they expected people to pay per person, let alone the $15/night extra charge I paid for my room. None of my family would eat anything from the selection, and when I tried to eat it, I couldn't finish my food because it tasted so bad. They had fake eggs, oily and undercooked potatoes, overly salty bacon, and stale waffles and pancakes that had been cooked another time and reheated. The sausage was edible. The pastries felt stale as well. They had yogurt and coffee that I didn't try so I can not speak to that. And the cereal options were very limited and bland. Overall, I would have preferred to have saved my money and gone to a restaurant to eat despite it being inconvenient. I was also disappointed in not being able to have a 2 pm checkout despite my membership in the program. This is the main reason I stay in IHG hotels due to Dr. appointments being at inconvenient times and not wanting to have to keep my stuff in an extremely hot car during the appointment. This is a very important thing that sets IHG hotels apart from others, and it greatly disrupted my plans. Besides a toilet paper holder that was taped to the wall, overall the facilities were nice, but it seems to me that the management might be to blame for most of the unpleasant experiences we had due to trying to cut costs. The pool was well kept and the hot tub was working. Also, there was a 2 hr blackout the night of our arrival that didn't result in any communication. There was a worry of not being able to charge my phone the night before an early Dr. appointment. When the power did come back on, I did not appreciate the light on the balcony not being able to turn off. I wanted the morning light to be able to come in the windows to help wake us up, but I had to close the curtains to block out the balcony light so that I could sleep. The bed was also a bit on the firm side and was uncomfortable for side sleepers. The mini fridge didn't have a way of freezing my ice packs. I bagged them up and labeled them, and asked if there was somewhere else in the hotel where I could freeze them, as I have medical supplies that I have to carry with me that have to be kept cold throughout the day. They said there was nothing they could do to help me. I also have a daughter on a specialized medical diet and had brought alternative options for her to eat for breakfast, but because the waffles and pancakes were apparently cooked ahead of time, there was no place for me to cook her specialty waffles. When I asked how the ones in the hotel were cooked and if there was somewhere I could cook them, they said the cook was not in during breakfast times and there was no way of accommodating us. The kitchenette in the room was also so small that I had a very difficult time preparing any of her food in the room. Not everything was terrible. I do not have any complaints about the cleanliness of the property. Everything seemed to be well-kept and clean. But as a whole, the stay was very disappointing and I will not ever be staying at this location again, and will be discouraging anyone I know from staying...

Read moreOur bed mattress was covered in urine. It was on two of the four pillows as well. I arrived at the hotel at 3am due to work and delays in leaving. So when our family arrived we were tired. I noticed there was a foul odor but was too tired to deal with it. The next day we had baseball all day plus spring training game and team dinner. We arrived back to go to bed pretty late. We discovered the bed and the fact that urine was clearly on it but it had been made with clean sheets and not actually cleaned. They should have thrown the mattress out. However, we were placed in room 319 like it was clean. When I went to complain at about 11:30 the second night they offered to move our room. Although my kids were already in bed and waking them up and moving rooms was again, too difficult. So we asked for blankets- thick ones to cover the mattress. That did seem to "hide" the smell for the 2nd night. But I barely slept thinking of how dirty this room probably actually was. If there is urine on the bed then I can't imagine how dirty it really is. They moved our room next morning. Last night was fine and room seemed clean - but I didn't look closely for obvious reasons. They said they will refund me for 2 of the 3 nights. I had to ask and actually insist on both nights. The GM said he would only cover the first night until I went crazy explaining that was totally unacceptable. They charged us $229 a night for a room with a bed covered in urine, no thanks. He then agreed to pay for both nights which is what I asked for originally when I called the morning after we left- once we were home. |I believe a good business would have offered me a refund at check out insuring they would have my business again or at least to offset the horrible two nights of sleep we had on a disgusting and dirty bed. | I am very displeased with my stay and would not recommend it to anyone. The staff was kind. They should have realized it was a bigger deal and offered a refund. They care about money though and not the cleanliness of the hotel. There was hairs in the shower when we arrived, hair on the floor in the bathroom, a half eaten Cheeto under the air conditioner. The food was great each morning and the servers in the dining area were awesome. The night manager did try to move my room the night I discovered the urine. But the GM said he heard about it and did nothing until I called and tracked him down. I probably made about 10 calls before I spoke to the GM. It should not have been that hard. I started with the registration line, then they sent me to guest relations and I spoke to 3 or 4 ladies from another country in guest relations. That phone call kept getting dropped. I had to repeat the story each time I called back making me more irritated. I was mad that it was so difficult to get a hold of someone who could offer me a resolution. Again, it should have been dealt with at the time of check out. I would probably less mad. I didn't have the energy after little sleep in a gross bed for 2 of the 3 nights to deal with it at checkout. A solid company would have owned their mistake though. Needless to say, I will not stay at a...
