Is this the best Green Chili Burrito in the Valley? @RitosMexicanFood is Award Winning and one of the best I’ve had. A family owned business, making their family recipes for over 45 years with 3 locations in the Valley. Give these guys a try and let me know who you think has the best in the Valley. • • • • #BeanandCheeseBurrito #MexicanFood #Mexican #Tacos #Burrito #RedChiliBeef #GreenChiliBeef #AwardWinning #GreenChili #RedChili

This is our first visit to this establishment. The atmosphere was quiet, therefore not many people. Our host's behavior was somewhat rude. Despite our request for a two-sided booth seat, she attempted to seat us at a partial booth with a stationary table and chairs. The chips served were cold and stale. The food quality was mediocre. It is notable that the restaurant only uses authentic shredded cheese upon request. Additionally, they utilize Velveeta cheese, which is not explicitly stated on the menu, and contains MSG and other unhealthy ingredients. The beans in our meal were topped with a combination of Velveeta cheese and a thin, butter-like layer. We ordered chicken, but it was imperceptible, both visually and in terms of flavor. Our waitress insisted that it was merely lightly shredded. Unfortunately, one member of our party experienced an allergic reaction to the MSG in the food. The restaurant's à la carte pricing strategy may create the illusion of reasonable prices. However, most patrons seeking authentic Mexican cuisine typically expect rice and beans to be included with their meal. Unless you're NOT seeking great service and high quality and authentic Mexican food, we wouldn't recommend. Reason for two star, the waitress requested $5.35 off our tab for the inconveniences and having no Guacamole. 🥴 Shown in photo is a very small Tostada called 'Guacamole Tostada' but with no Guacamole available and with thin layer of Velveeta cheese and beans, includes cold flour tortilla Burrito with Spanish rice and a thin layer of Velveeta and beans mixed. No beano!

Came here on a Friday evening as a family. We live right down the street from here and it was our first time dining in, but we have always ordered takeout from here in the past. The quality of the takeout food and dine-in food is completely the same, just as delicious and portions are huge.. in my opinion. I usually never can finish a full plate myself. You MUST try the Ranch Waters. I forgot the name of mine but it had pineapple and the alcohol crept up on me! I enjoyed my Coronarita too! They have 2 outside seating areas. One that is closed off, and tables on the other side across from JesterZ Improv. Open area so kids can run and play. From what we saw on the inside it had fun decor and roomy. I ordered the red chili enchilada plate and my hubby got a red chili burrito. Seriously authentic Mexican food here. Rito’s is so underrated here in Mesa and not talked about enough! My Nana who has cooked enchiladas her whole life also approves of this place when I brought her some takeout one time. She said “Aiii Mija the red chili is SO GOOD!” The staff was so lovely and waited on us just enough. They made great suggestions and were so kind to us from the minute we walked in to the time we left. I wish I remembered their names, but either way everyone I’ve encountered here has always been so genuinely sweet and pleasant! This place has easily become a favorite and I hope they don’t go anywhere! P.S. MUST TRY ELOTE! I have always gotten it but this time I didn’t but it’s my fave appetizer to get.

Our family was visiting from out of town and decided to grab some food, place looked great and we gave it a shot . Walked in and spotted 3 people at the bar , a 8 top 3 top and a 2 top. Besides that the restaurant was empty and there was no event happening . We were immediately told we would have to wait a long time to get a table and were told outside was pretty much our only option. We had just spent the day outside at a celebration of life and were really digging the idea of air conditioning. About 15 minutes later magically our table was ready and no one else had come in during this wait. We were immediately greeted by a less than happy waitress asking us what we wanted . When we explained we would like menus an eye roll was the reaction. After ordering our drinks the slippery slope of poor service went into overdrive. We were not given the proper amount of plates , cups or silverware. With no employees to be found we eventually just grabbed our own off another table . A child dining with us spilt a glass of water and we used our napkins to clean it up. Amazingly servers were around to help ! Nope just kidding they just walked around us several times watching us clean up the spill with out asking if we needed new napkins or assist in any way . Keep in mind this would be a high traffic area if there was more than 4 tables dining . After ordering our waitress came back to explained the restaurant had no ground beef for tacos, odd at a Mexican restaurant I’d say . No worries right , we adjusted placed our order and hoped for the best . Our orders came out .. out of touch with what we ordered, 2 out of 11 orders were right. The rest were sent back or “fixed” to scrape the unwanted lettuce or item from the food nit desired . One person took something they didn’t even order just to not have to deal with the situation .The waitress, clearly flustered began barking at us about who had ordered rice and beans because she clearly put too many orders in and spilt a decent amount of beans right behind the kids onto the ground . Then simply disappeared until it was time to bring out the checks ! Finally salvation we could leave.. no no wait , all the tabs had additional items not ordered or were completely wrong. When trying to explain herself the waitress held up our checks circling the items 8 feet away asking if we ordered those items. Meanwhile the I’m guessing bus persons (2 young girls) began staring our table down. It got to the point we felt really uncomfortable .. for being customers and the staffs mistake. With our backs against the wall we paid and left. In regards to this situation It got so bad that I got up and spoke with the manager who took my information down for the owner to call me about (hope he does). I told her the truth ,no one else should have to deal with this type of situation and it should be a learning point for the establishment. I’ve been in every position working in restaurants and attending culinary school I get it mistakes happen, this was just poor customer service at its finest. I hope that this is corrected for future customers if not this place will...
